Beautiful walk from Dinner plain to the Falls. But we wary to wear good hiking shoes as it is narrow, wet, muddy and slippery. It is a fair walk and will take longer than you think for 700m.The small falls at the top are a really lovely with moss covered rocks. The viewing platform for the Falls is underwhelming being quite far off.

A smaller fall at the end of a vigorous walk down from Dinner Plate to the Precipice Creek. Look for directions in town - in warmer months you can drive close to the track start.Watch out for snakes - even on days with a scatter of snow. During snow melt the path is wet and slippery and there are some moderately steep/loose sectionsThe upper cascade and the fall itself are unremarkable but, and it forgives all else, walking in the alpine valley and hearing the stream take form from a hundred small streams is a wonderful experience. In spring you get the added bonus of wildflowers.

Great walk. Perfect cool cumbersome day. Took several hundred of our closest our friends with us! The falls were a bit underwhelming and way over there from the look out. But the little side ‘prefalls’ ten minutes before were pretty cool.

I was there on 28th/dec/2021. The view from the platform is abit too far away and great if there was a way to get closer to the falls.On the way to the falls you will find a small pond like area with water flowing and another 10mins down the path you'll get to the viewing platform.

The walk was beautiful, and fairly easy. Unfortunately due to the dry weather the waterfall wasn't overly impressive, but the walk in made up for it!

Short walk down and back up but quite steep. Moderate difficulty.Gorgeous viewing platform with benches to sit and enjoy the gorgeous views in a tranquil setting

Worth the 3km walk from Dinner Plain. Make sure to have good footwear and expect some steep sections. At the end of the walk you will come to a viewing platform with a breathtaking view of Carmichael Falls and the valley below.

Very hard walk when snowing, icy and muddy. In those conditions, i wouldnt recommend the walk for little kids or those 45+ who are unfit (like me), remember the air is thinner in alpine regions - so it was testing. Nice views when you get to the l9ok out . The walk took an hour round trip. Beware of changing weather conditions.
