I was left very confused after visiting this facility. This organisation appears to have no interest in adopting out dogs to genuine, responsible families. This organisation is a walking talking contradiction. The owner makes you jump through hopes and basically beg to get a dog. Only she can decide if you are worthy of a rescue dog. When you think you have done everything humanely possible out comes another excuse. Favourite quote of Monika’s is come back next week for another visit. This is to the detriment of the rescue dog which lives in sub standard conditions exposed to the elements when they could be in a loving home. In a nutshell this charitable organisation discourages people from adopting rescue dogs and is only run to get donations and inflate the ego of its unqualified founder. I feel sorry for the dogs

The environment is lovely with all the nature, however the treatment of the dogs upset me. They can be aggressive, which is understandable and not a surprise in itself, however the fact that none of the workers are training them in their spare time is certainly a huge downside and most likely a contributing factor as to how too many arent being adopted. The lack of shade and fresh water for the dogs is also a downside, as the dirty water isnt the best thing to give to dogs that have already experienced the worst. Other than those points though, the dogs themselves are mostly very friendly and one that i walked, despite lunging at other dogs and passerbys, was open to being trained to sit when a car went past. Its a shame the workers, as i stated earlier, arent doing this kind of thing.

A very experienced dog owner here. The initial staff lady was wonderful until… Monika got involved. Terrible social skills and with over 300 dogs, decided I was too busy to adobo the dog she claimed to be 4 yrs old. I fought for her and took her. She was 10 yrs ! She had the best 4 years with us. The most wonderful little girl. I sent back a tutorial for their magazine about a year later and Monika states. I wish all our dogs got such a great home. The process was extremely stressful and 2 of our friends had the same experience. They are all excellent doggy owners.

I used to come here every weekend before I got my dog. People here are amazing - thank you for all your hard work!! Dogs here are such gentle souls, please come walk them! It's worth every second you're there! Most difficult thing is to not fall in love with all of them

Nothing but a nightmare. This enterprise should be shut down. They advertise dogs that need rehoming, but won't give them to decent people who can provide good homes. Instead these poor bloody animals are contained in her concrete box and subjected to her awful character. My application was scrutinised because I have a job and go to work. Next she scrutinised the age of my 13 year old dog who is desperate for a friend. The following is a comment I made on her Facebook page in regards to Dotti. The post was removed and I was blocked! Grow up Monika!Dottie would have had a lovely life with me but I was dismissed because I'm a working nurse...... and my existing dog is a spritely 13.Being a dog owner for the last 25 years of my life, I was rejected because Dotti is anxious. Apparently no one knows what to do with an anxious dog except for Monika!I have a massive heart for animals and Dotti was going to be my first adoption.Unfortunately Monika is nothing but a negative, judgemental, know it all.... of nothing. This experience has turned me off adoption agencies for good.I feel so sorry for these animals that have the chance to live in good homes and enjoy life...... instead they are trapped in Monikas concrete boxes.I will be spreading the word of this disgusting attitude and practice.

The other day, due to family reasons, I wanted to send my dog to Monika's place. After providing the necessary information and paying $400, I reconsidered my decision the following day and chose to continue taking care of my dog myself. I had to apologize and request a refund from Monika, but she informed me that she would not issue any refund and that the money would be treated as a donation instead. I found this very confusing. I admit that my decision to change my mind may have been a mistake, but it is not a reason not to issue a refund. Moreover, I sensed a change in her attitude since I expressed my desire to have a refund. I am grateful that I did not send my dog to her place in the end.

Over many years we have adopted dogs from Monika's. She helps save so many dogs who still have so much life and love to give. Our Leo is. 6 year old Spitz who adores his walks, his dinner and greeting us when we get home each day. Adopt a dog and give them another home and chance at life.
