I can’t recommend Girl in the White Dress highly enough.My now husband and I, both being amateur photographers and therefore quite particular, and me previously a wedding photography assistant, were having difficulty finding a wedding photographer we really liked. The moment we found Marie it was a done deal. She was everything we’d been looking for and more. Marie was a dream to communicate with (something important when planning a wedding!) and also extremely kind, patient and understanding when we had to postpone multiple times due to health reasons.Marie and her assistant were an absolute pleasure on the day. They made us feel so comfortable, and looking back at the photos we are shocked how they got around and captured what they did when we barely noticed them moving around. We love her photojournalistic style which meant they captured all of the special little moments as well as the major ones. One pet peeve of mine is when every photo is staged or posed, and this was certainly not the case with Marie’s photography. Every moment and emotion is captured beautifully, but also authentically.Marie’s photos truly are artwork and she has a very unique grasp of light and composition. We had extremely low light and bad weather for our portrait photos (it was raining and extremely cold), and not only did Marie do well with the low light, she actually mastered it and used it to her advantage.Marie and her assistant made many accommodations to make the day less stressful for us. It was a pleasure having such lovely people share this special day with us.I have often said that the best part of our day was during the wedding portrait session. We had such a fun time, and it was the most quality time we got with each other amongst the craziness of the rest of the day. I had initially been nervous about being photographed but Marie made it such a natural experience. She gently directed us so that she could get the best photos possible, but it never felt fake or put on. It was just a fun time that was captured and transformed into art. She also made me look beautiful in the photos, which every bride wants!I can say, with my hand on my heart, that the investment was completely worth it. Another thing to note is that Marie is 100% honest and upfront and there are no nasty hidden fees. Because of the trust we have in her and how comfortable we are around her, we also had Marie to do our maternity shoot as well as our newborn shoot at home. We would never even bother engaging another photographer. We feel privileged that we have Marie to capture all of the special milestones in our family up until now and moving forward.Again, I can’t recommend Girl in the White Dress highly enough. I promise you won’t regret having Marie capture the most important days of your lives.

Coming up to our 1st year anniversary and reflecting on our incredible photos by marie on our special day, brings back the incredible day we had, that couldn’t have been captured better if we tried. From the moment we met marie we knew she was the photographer for us. Her style, and the way she captured all the magic and love felt on the day in all of our photos, the elegance of our wedding venue, and the fun and happiness of everyone having the time of their life’s on our day. Very responsive prior to the wedding answering all our questions and she was also quite accommodating when we changed our wedding plans several times.She was calming influence and made us feel very comfortable during all the photos. Marie-Edith was amazing - she tried to understand your style and expectations prior to the day to ensure she nails it. We had some artistic shots, some posed shots, some candid shots (and i normally look horrid in candid photos but they turned out amazing). She captured the spur of the moment laughter shots and when you look at the photos, you can actual feel how happy you were on the day, it is truly something magical. Highly recommended - we were really happy with our photos, such an investment!

We were lucky enough to find Marie 15 years ago, over this time she has captured our world in photos! We have used Marie to document the biggest moments in our lives, the moments that have now become treasured memories. Some how Marie manages to capture those moment exactly how we imagined them to be. Her style is relaxed and natural, and what she captures is pure moments full of emotion and detail, she doesn’t miss a thing. Marie-Edith was my wedding photographer and my pictures are amazing! She was responsive to my emails when planning our contract. She was clear with what services she would provide. She was professional and non-obtrusive on the wedding day, but did take my husband and myself aside when there was good lighting to take some beautiful pictures. She gave us good direction when she was taking photos (my husband and I are useless when posing for pictures). On top of it all, she sent us some preliminary pictures quickly after the wedding and then 4GB of photos a week later. I couldn't recommend her more highly!
