Take the effort to see this part of Queensland Railways history. Definitely worth the drive in. We took our caravan in and in dry weather not a problem. Watch out for the locals.

A beautiful old bridge that's worth a look. The road in is sealed until the last 3 or so kms, lots of cows and few cattle grids to cross. There is a picnic table and some rain water to use when there. When we visited we had had a fair amount of rain so there was lots of water in the creek below. The bridge is fenced off and difficult to get close to it. You are not allowed to climb down.

Historical engineering masterpiece!Dirt road access from main road. Possibly accessible by 2WD but recommend 4WD for road condition and bumps.I have seen people swimming in water hole.

Nice bit of history. Wish these outback rails were never put out of service. Such a shame.

Chowey Bridge (Deep Creek Railway Bridge)
Nice piece of history but really needs a stairway to the bottom and access on the bridge.Hopefully north Burnett council will find funding to make this a better place to visit.

Wonderful piece of railway history. We hiked down to the creek bead, which was a little bit treacherous but not too bad if you are relatively fit and agile. 3.5km of dirt road in from the bitumen through cattle paddocks with a couple of grids to cross between. Paradise Dam is close by and was good to call in to see that aswell!
