Ive been a regular user of the dog run over many years and thankful for its placement. In the past 2 year a longer" external walking track within the dog run has developed. May i suggest this unmade and at times unsafe track be made to a standard similar to the internal run

Love this park. We have been coming here for a couple of months now. Very friendly dogs, friendly owners, shade and space. Also a couple of water stations for the dogs on hot days. Highly recommend bringing your puppy here for some early socialisation and off lead training in a safe setting.

This is definitely a gem. Such a perfect and beautiful Cherry Blossom (Sakura) flowers and trees in this park. There are heaps of them. There are few tree haven't have flower bloom yet. Now is perfect time to go to picnic and take photos to these tree and flowers. Never thought there are so many different types of sakura and so much different colors and combination too. Big call out to the volunteers who maintain these tree over years. And the most important, this park is free to enter. Plenty of parking nearby. And the actual location near dog park. Best to park at the dog park parking. Went there in Oct. There flower bloom period is between September to October. But rain can impact these flower sightly. There are also cafe at the park entrance too. Will definitely come back next year for the season to picnic.

A beautiful big area full fenced dog park!!! I love to bring my furbaby here because he has enough room to run!!! The ground can be muddy, suggesting to wear waterproof boots. There is no bin around, but definitely worth bringing your dogs here if they love to explore and running around.

Banksia Park off lead dog park is one of Melbourne's best fully-fenced dog parks, located at the Northern Car Park of Banksia Park behind the Heide Museum. This is one of our most popular adventure location for our dogs that are still working on there recall. There are three bushy areas for the dogs to explore and small inner loops and somewhat of a large board loop track to walk around. This park is large enough if your dogs aren't getting on well with another dog you can take them to the other side out of sight to run and play. The dog community is very friendly, often very helpful and is rarely empty. though there are occasionally dog scuffles as its a common parks for dogs working on skills.Though the park is not well maintained by state parks. Many holes from dogs digging, flooded / large mud puddles, one water fountain not working and no bin so poo bags left beside gate if even pickup at all. This is a must see dog park for any dog who loves to play or still working on the recall.

The park itself is fantastic - large, beautiful and secure. The multiple people who bring big, aggressive, undesexed dogs and let them off leash - not fantastic.

Great very large, fenced in, Off Lead Dog Park at the Northern end of and within Banksia Park. Lots of grass, benches, shady trees, obstacles to jump over and around. Dog taps/water fountains available. The dog park is extremely popular, especially on nice weekends, and parking can be difficult competing with other people using the rest of the beautiful park for walks, picnics, BBQs, ball games etc. Dogs are allowed outside the dog park, but LEASH ON only! Please respect this as many people are afraid of dogs and don't welcome them. That's why this gorgeous dog park is here. Please bring your own poo bags and take them with you when you leave. There are no bins at all within the park for any sort of rubbish at all.

Enormous enclosed dog park with doggie water fountains. This park always has loads of dogs playing. The pathway around the dog park is beautiful. The people that regular the dog park are very friendly. My dog and I love it!

Great place for dogs that can't be off leash just like that, it's all fenced and it's very big, so the doggies can run around a lot. The only bad thing is the maintenance isn't the best and you can tell. No bins for the poo bags, the water tap doesn't always work, a lot of holes..
