Sean was recommended to me by a friend who recently bought a property after I said to him “I need actual building advice, not just some standard inconclusive inspection that leaves me with more questions than answers”.When I first called Sean I said to him “I don’t care much for the written report, I am looking for someone who can attend the site and come back to me with the same advice I would get if I had a family member who is a builder”. Sean was exactly that.The reports Sean produced were great and I am glad to have them but the personal advice was totally priceless. One of the properties turned out to be a total lemon. We were ready to drop $1.2m on it however, after Sean’s inspection/advice, where he highlighted numerous issues including severe structural damage and roof leakages, we walked away. I am certain that decision has saved us hundreds of thousands.The property we did end up buying was not perfect (no property is) - but having Sean look over it means we knew what we were getting.One other important thing - Sean is exactly the person you want doing your inspection because he is not only experienced and knowledgeable about construction but also extremely passionate about it. I know this because I attended a few inspections with him and his attention to detail was beyond reproach. He was right there in the moment with me, treating the inspection as if it was his own money on the line.If you are looking at buying a property and have a mum/dad/brother/sister who is a builder, ask them to inspect it for you. Sean performed a building inspection on an apartment I was looking to purchase. I can’t thank Sean enough for his services. I had tight time pressures to issue an unconditional offer on the property. Sean made himself available the following morning to complete the inspection. Immediately after the inspection, Sean called me to talk me through the items identified during his inspection. By early afternoon, Sean provided me with a detailed report and offered his time if I had any further questions for him. He did a thorough inspection and was able to spot hidden issues with the house due to his attention to detail and long experience. Well worth the money! Sean was really great, came out the very next day after calling him. He is very knowledgeable on everything, checked the whole place thoroughly and so easy to talk to on the phone before booking him, he had all the answers. I was finding it hard to find a good inspector, everyone was so vague about price and what they could do. But Sean knew exactly what he could do and when and was upfront about everything. Sean is definitely someone you want in your corner. Spoke us through everything that he found too. So good!
