Lovely, clean and very comfy place to stay in Boort ( maybe the only decent place to stay in town!) Across the road from Lake Boort (little) and and very peaceful and pleasant park with some beautiful old gums full of birds etc.. We stopped off on our way to do the Silo Tour. The town itself is struggling a bit so we were happy to spend a night and visit both (yes both pubs) for drinks and a meal (only one meal ;). Yes, this town has no Banks.(has ATM)....last one pulled up stumps earlier this year.

Lovely quiet spot to stay. Bedding, bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable.But…the kitchen table was sticky and dirty. The whole facility is looking a little battered and tired. Holes in the walls, plaster damaged and the locks were very difficult to open and lock up again.Clock and TV remote weren’t working, so I replaced the batteries with what I found in the kitchen drawers. These little things are the ATD (attention to detail) that should be checked prior to a guest’s arrival.This should have been a five star rating, but I seriously couldn’t do that on this occasion. The front garden is completely overgrown and disheveled…The back garden was very tidy and would be quite relaxing for a barbecue.The only store in Boort open for business is the IGA on a Sunday at 10am. Arriving on Saturday night, we would have appreciated this information from our hosts. I couldn’t buy a coffee ☕️ on Sunday and on Monday morning when we left, the coffee shops were scheduled to be closed.Luckily the coffee machine in our accommodation was a god send! Not quite the same as a fresh brewed mug, but pretty good!So I would recommend that you take some supplies of food, just in case you arrive after the stores in town are closed.

Close to town great lake views clean modern well equipped and comfortable.
