I was an international PhD student based in Adelaide.Enrolling and attending this Karate class was the best decision I took in 2013.Not only the Sensei (Sarven) and Sempai (Paul, Anna and Jon) are amazing and professional instructors, but there is also a mood of politeness, education and understanding that appears to be contagious in our dojo (gym), and that makes every student feeling home, well followed and accepted.I would strongly recommend it!

Great traditional Japanese Karate club for all ages. I have been with the club for over 2 years now and have developed myself along with my skills drastically. Everyone in the club is very friendly and welcoming. Instructors(Sensei/Senpai) are very knowledgeable and approachable. Highly recommend to all

Several years ago I was looking for a martial arts school for my son. Visited quite a number of schools in Adelaide, often the schools would talk about “ tradition, respect, etc etc”- but usually this was only a advertising line. In particular I wanted to avoid the “ McDojo’s” and “ sports “ orientated schools.I was keen for a “ traditional “ martial arts school that focussed on good foundations- both physical and spiritual.7 years on, all of my children now train at this school. I can honestly say that this is a excellent “ traditional “ karate school.If you are looking for flashy moves, guaranteed black belt in 2 years, looking for a fight or a place to show how “ tough” you are - then this is not the school for you.If however you are looking for a family friendly school to guide you on your journey in traditional karate- then I can highly recommend this school.

As a woman (and a parent), who is currently training in the traditional aspects of Japanese karate, I feel that this particular dojo provides an extremely safe and positive environment to train in the art.The approachable and committed instructors eagerly impart their knowledge and teach valuable skills in basic techniques, which are developed and refined through consistent training.The lessons are well structured and planned. Through different exercises and drilling combinations of punches, kicks and blocks, one learns that these techniques lead to invaluable self-defence applications.Besides the physical fitness and mental stimulation, there is an enveloping sense of respect, etiquette and comaraderie within the dojo. Sensei and Sempai reinforce the importance of instilling focus and good discipline, both within and outside of the dojo.Be reassured that this karate club provides an unintimidating and safe environment for everyone to feel comfortable and to train at ease, especially motivated women and children.
