A $26 fish and chips. A 45 minute wait and what I got was a measly 6 inch (at best) fillet of fish that was partially grey and entirely tasteless, a small portion of lukewarm chips and an enormous chunk of tomato smothered in a dressing.

We used the Alpine Hotel for a small group training workshop and it was spot on. Great spaces, helpful staff (Daniel) and the scones hit the mark. Just need to come back for a steak one night to top it all off.

Welcoming hotel, I only stayed the night. Restaurant meal was delicious. Will revisit and stay again with others and utilised the awesome guest lounge rooms, step back in time.

Had dinner in the restaurant and the restaurant and also the bar staff could not have been nicer or more friendly with nothing being too much trouble with the delicious meal coming quickly.Pub itself wasn't crowded and therefore had a spacious feel. Found the old Snowy pictures interesting.

I just stopped in for lunch. My steak was over cooked, but it was a quality cut of meat, so it wasn't too bad. The garlic bread was quite possibly the best I've had.

The pub itself is great - restaurant is formal, but the backyard bar (beer garden) with its wood fired pizza and beers and wine on tap is awesome!Staying in the accommodation is a whole other matter... we stayed here overnight keen to see if it was up there with a night at one of the local motels, but without the walk/cab ride home.Yeah nup - don't do it to yourself, unless you want to pay more than a motel room locally, with no air con (not advertised on the website) and in the middle of summer, you need AC! We booked the family room even though it's just us two, because it came with an ensuite, and for $145 instead of $180 for a king room with ensuite, well, we thought it must be AMAZING!No, no it's not. Room 1 which is a family room, has a king size bed with concrete pillows, plus a rickety double bunk for 2 more. The TV is fortunately in front of the window, because come morning you are going to need sunglasses with the lovely sunshine screaming in through the windows - watch out when you go in the bathroom, as it is blinding!Remember to pack your own soap and shampoo/conditioner because there isn't any - a supermarket hand pump soap bottle sits on the window sill, and it seems it's for the shower too...?!Enjoy the 10mins of free time while you wait for the hot water, and enjoy the mould above the toilet and window, and in the grout at eye height in the shower...Overall, if you drink and eat enough downstairs you hopefully won't notice how bad (and overpriced) the rooms are, or maybe do yourself a favour, and book a room up the road at a motel, and spend the extra $20 on another drink downstairs at the pub!

Food is overpriced for the quality. The staff are not particularly friendly, and found them quite rude and dismissive. If I were the owners I’d definitely look into that. Definitely won’t recommend or will not return

It's a great venue and drinks aren't too expensive. Only reason I give 4 stars staff seem to have a locals only attitude and if they don't know you it's not the best experience
