This restaurant is incredible!Food is devine, staff are impeccable, surroundings are inviting.Do the set wine menu, we aren't white wine drinkers. Though, it was sumptuous on the palate with the dish.Great work team!Sim & Trav

The food here is a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, with local produce at its heart. The restaurant has an amazing array of dishes that come together to make one great experience - you'll be hard-pressed finding anything not worth ordering! The staff take it that one step further by their attentiveness and knowledge.Recommend booking but we were lucky to score a table on our drive up which is apparently unheard of so book in advance. Also, be careful if driving after dark as there are kangaroo's everywhere. Definitely a restaurant to experience when in Mudgee.Should have taken more photos but was captivated by the food and experience.+Pipeclay Pumphouse Restaurant

Picturesque location with absolutely fabulous food.We were lucky enough to get a booking for their New Year's Eve Degustation.Showcasing local produce with matched wines, the chef put the region on the plate highlighting the diversity of flavours available.Definitely book yourself a table when next in Mudgee - otherwise make a special trip. The dining experience is worth the drive.

Great restaurant but not a 5 star for one reason. I feel like there needs to be a more premium menu that costs more but worth more food and premium ingredients…I think food quantity and quality has gone down in last few years due to inflation.

This restaurant beautifully joins local produce with family tradition to make an amazing dining experience. The quality of each dish in design and execution are flawless and the staff are very passionate about what they serve. Just a warning to anyone driving to the restaurant at night watch for kangaroos.

Definitely worth a visit whilst in Mudgee, the Pipeclay Pumphouse is a beautiful location nestled in a winery.Lighting didn't facilitate getting good food photos. However, take it from me - it was delicious.The rustic shed created a suitable ambiance, but the low tin roof also create a noisy dining environment.

We had a really disappointing experience here. Despite numerous recommendations the food was a mixture of bad or average at best. Funnily enough the palate cleanser was the best food we ate. Then to cap it all off, we were overcharged by $53. Zin House is infinitely better for each food, wine pairing, ambience and service.For charcuterie the duck was nice, and both the rillette and terrine lacked good flavour.The salmon tartare felt like I was eating sashimi, no flavour added by the other ingredients. Disappointing.The gnocchi showed some signs of promise, but needed some acids to bring it all together.Lamb back strap was really tough and under seasoned. The broccolini on the side outshone the lamb.Dessert was good but on the sweet side with all the honeycomb.So at this point, the food has been below average, and we were wishing we were back at our accomodation. We settle the bill using a Good Food Gift Card that we were given. $247 to be paid. When we looked at the receipt the waitress put through the entire $300 voucher. I’m sorry? Why would I tip 20% when we have been happier with a McDonalds Happy Meal?!So far from impressed and they took an extra $53 for our troubles.
