Yatala Pies

Yatala pies are just amazing. I often find myself coming up with a reason to drive down the coast just to get one with their chips and gravy. If you haven't gone before and you live around the area, what on earth are you doing with your life? Go get some! The staff are always super friendly and the drive thru is what dreams are made of. Super efficient.

Very busy so prepare for a line (even in the drive thru). Chunky steak pie with peas was fab. Lamb Coconut curry was a bit bland and only tasted of curry powder and nothing else. Would recommend sticking to the classics at this place as they do them well!

Not really overly impressed with the quality of the pies. The plain pie with peas, mash and gravy was average. I’ve had better recently elsewhere. The sausage roll was great, with a decent amount of meat filling and just the right amount of pastry.Where they fell down was on the gluten free pie for my partner. It was half the size of mine. It didn’t taste great, but the filling was ok.There was a lot of confusion around ordering the gluten free pie. They asked to call ahead to heat it up and I questioned how it would be prepared.They assured me over the phone that it would be cooked in a separate oven and that it was actually made by a separate gluten free bakery.But on arrival they gave the normal common speech that in their kitchen they have gluten so it’s not recommended for Celiacs to eat. I know that they need to cover themselves by saying the kitchen has gluten, but I took the time to ask this over the phone before coming to eat there.Either their kitchen practices allow for gluten free preparations or they don’t. Please educate the staff to how to answer these questions and put your customers at ease.

I have been here countless times before. The last time I visited, I wasn't that impressed with the pie I brought. This time I decided to try something different.This place ALWAYS appears busy. What I noticed today was how quickly the line moved despite being lined up out the entry door. They seem to have a very good system that works to get the people in line served & through the shop.I also noticed they seemed to have a similar system running with the drive through. So even though the drive through was busy, the line moved really efficientlyI purchased a curry steak pie & a Vanilla slice & both of them were so enjoyable.Plenty of seating if you want to stop and stretch your legs on the way home.

I recently visited Yatala Pie and was very pleased with the selection of pies. There was something for everyone! The pies were absolutely delicious - the flavors were amazing and the crust was perfectly flaky. I highly recommend Yatala Pie for a delicious treat or snack. The staff were friendly and helpful, making it a great experience overall. I will definitely be back soon!

Great pies at reasonable prices for the size. Delicious pastry which is one of the best around. Pie fillings are made with quality ingredients.

The pies and fresh cream desserts in this place are delicious. We tried the beef chunky, steak and mushroom pies, fresh cream desserts. You really need to come and try

I stumbled upon Yatala pies and was blown away by their amazing taste! The Chicken and Vegetable and Apple pies were a delight to my taste buds. Highly recommend giving them a trySo good I came back.

Anywhere good enough for the mighty maroons should be good enough for you. If you love a pie you already know this place has the best. But wait…they have a drive thru too.
