Cafe Thyme & Basil
Despite living in the neighborhood a few months I had yet to make it to this darling little cafe until last week. The owner was wonderfully charming and hospitable. The backyard seating was really cute and felt so homey. The big farm brekky was really good and seemed nicer than many other standard “big brekky” plates. But mostly the owner sharing her place and hospitality with us made me promise to return!

One of the best coffee shops in Balmain. Great coffee, friendly service and a fantastic outdoor patio area perfect for sipping coffee on a sunny day.

Unique and hipster coffee shop / cafe. Family owned, so that makes it even cooler! Definitely worth a visit (and more)! PS, the coffee was very good.....

We liked the pancakes and the watermelon salad was nice. But it didn't come with any greens, so we asked for a mix greens, or even just some baby spinach on the side. They said sure. But they gave us iceberg lettuce instead, which wasn't that nice, with a $3 surcharge.
