We often had Mexican food at various places in Melbourne and other cities in Australia and we have travelled in Mexico so we know how Mexicanfood should taste. But this was by far the worst Mexican" food experience we ever had. Should have known already when we looked at the menu. Not at all authentic and way overpriced for what you get.Waitress told us that tacos are very small and we should order starters too to get full. She recommended chicken stripes and fried cauliflower which we ordered

Great food and venue that was spoilt by dodgy service. Drinks order took 40mins to arrive and only after we asked where it was (it had been delivered to the wrong table). Then when the cocktail jug was delivered they forgot the glasses. Simple stuff that shouldn't happen.

Visited Julio’s for the first time last night. Loved the location and view. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Highly recommend the Fried Cauliflower it was absolutely delicious. We also had the Hummus, Prawn Tacos & the Swordfish (which was a little over cooked and the sauce on the top was overpowering/ too much in quantity for the dish)Overall enjoyed the experience and will return to try some other dishes.

Made a booking for our wedding anniversary. Staff were pleasant, and the food was great overall, however the service was very lack lustre and it impacted the experience overall. After being seated we waited and waited for table service, and finally approached staff at the counter to order. It took 45 mins for drinks to arrive, including table water. The table next to us had the same, including no cutlery once meals arrived. The food was lovely, but once we had eaten, we sat and waited over half an hour for our plates to be taken away. They never were. We wanted to order coffee and dessert but no one checked on us, so we paid the bill and left. Staff really need to be a little more engaged and switched on. These are basic things when running a restaurant, especially as there were only around 5 or 6 other tables in the large venue. A more senior staff member did bring us water an apologise, so maybe time for a refresher for more junior staff?

I don't often (ever?) post negative reviews.The setting is very nice, and dog friendly is a big plus.The staff were friendly, but we had to order forgotten items ... more than once.Now the bad news:The mojito tasted as though made from mix. The food overall was a real disappointment. The corn chips were not only cold, they tasted stale. The tortillas were cold. The tacos were underfilled and bland. The swordfish steak was thin and chewy. I was surprised not to see any black beans or refried beans on the menu.I've enjoyed many Mexican restaurants around the world, and this one stands out as delivering poor value for money.

The food is bland. The most basic guacamole is just lacking. Had multiple dishes and only good dish was the mushroom soft tacos. I was told in the lift by another guest to avoid Julios but we had a booking. I would have rathered go the the pub downstairs.The staff are good and helpful but there is minimal atmosphere however you are in a hotel lobby so can't expect too much to be fair.

Fantastic food and service at Julio’s. Neat and cleverly decorated with a lovely view over the pool.They make awesome nachos, their guacamole is fantastic!Really good cocktails too.

Visited last night! My husband & I were left very satisfied! We ordered 4 small plates and Nachos to share which was enough to keep us full! Churros for dessert were incredible!! Our food came quickly & our waitress was very bubbly & friendly!
