The Actors Club

The Actors club is such a wonderful addition to the Gold Coast film industry. A nurturing environment, that helps builds your confidence as an actor and also provides a safe and supportive environment.As a person who has had anxiety for most of my adult life, this environment gave me the level of comfort and ability to leave my inhibitions at the door. I had never been able to find any acting classes where this environment was available.These courses give you the opportunity to work on your craft with leading industry professionals that are working and successful in their chosen film, theatre and television industries.My recent accent course with Peter Kent was life changing in regards to my progress with standard American accent. I’d done work shops twice before elsewhere and it wasn’t until I trained with Peter that it clicked. Peters classes are so therapeutic, it was like I was training in accents but also attending therapy. If you are suffering from anxiety or self limiting beliefs he talks you through your apprehension and nerves that in turn enables you to not hold back in regards to your performance. Peter talks in accent for the entirety of the course, drifting in and out of various accents from across America. You not only learn the accents but the history of the accents and how they came to be, which was fascinatingThe classes are also a lot of fun and there is a lot of laughter to be had when learning accents. More often that not we would all be in stitches of laughter at some stage of the class.I was very nervous to explore acting classes again after stopping my training 7 years ago. The actors club were very supportive and accomodating and have created the most beautiful environment which I can’t stress enough. There is no other school like this in Australia.I will definitely continue training with the Actors club. For anyone wanting to learn the American accent I can’t recommend Peters class more highly. It will give you a valuable insight into all things accent related, whether you want to learn the New York ‘cawww feeee’ accent , southern or standard. This course will give you the ahh hah moment and the confidence to audition for roles that require the accent.

The Actors Club is an amazing place to develop acting creativity and learn with incredibly experienced actors like Brad and Ellie. Brittany is also extremely talented and works so hard behind the scenes. After studying acting for the last five years in places all around the Sunshine State. I must say that The Actors Club is the place to be. Whatever you are looking for, whether it is gaining skill in front of a camera, emotional depth in your performance or maybe you're just starting out, Brad and his wealth of excellent tutors have the skills and knowledge to give you. I have been attending classes for six months now and I can honestly say they have a student for life in me.

The Actors Club team are amazing! As an actor trying to fine tune your craft, there's no better environment and place for growth than this place! Brad, Britt, and all the teachers who I've had the privilege of learning from and working with are so knowledgeable and seriously world class (their resumes back this). It's such a nurturing place to harness your skills, meet fellow actors and build your community! I also just completed the 4 week workshop with Hugh Parker and that was seriously life changing - so many ah ha moments, very excited to keep working and putting this all in action!

Since coming to The Actors Club, not only have my skills improved, but my belief in myself has drastically improved as well!The Actors Club fosters such a safe, welcoming and fun environment that you feel immediately when first walking in the door, making everyone feel welcome and safe.This environment allows you to fail safely and learn, allows you to unapologetically explore, have fun with kind and likeminded individuals, improve your craft, network and create your future.Joining The Actors Club is truly one of the best decisions I have ever made and I am truly grateful to be a part of it!

Highly recommend training at the actors club for any actor at any level.
