Step into Taki, the authentic Japanese restaurant that feels like a typical spot you'd find in Tokyo. Don't expect anything too high-end, but rather a casual and welcoming atmosphere where the focus is on the food.The service is efficient and friendly, but don't be surprised if you have to wait a bit as the staff runs a lean team. However, the wait is well worth it once you take your first bite of the delicious food.The decor is simple and clean. But don't let the unassuming ambiance fool you - the food is where Taki truly shines.We ordered a variety of dishes, including mixed tempura, truffle and foie gras rice, agedashi tofu, and abalone tataki. Each dish was authentic and flavorful.The mixed tempura was fried to perfection with a light and crispy batter, while the truffle and foie gras rice was a rich and decadent dish that left us feeling satisfied. The agedashi tofu had a silky texture and was served in a flavorful broth, while the abalone tataki was crunchy, tangy and fresh.Overall, Taki is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for an authentic taste of Tokyo without breaking the bank.

We only ordered sushi and they were very good. Especially their Nori range (fried seaweed), very tasty and we'll presented. Their sushi rice taste pretty good too. The only pity is the size of sushi are bit smaller than normal. The Green tea creme brulee is really satisfying in the end.

Wish I could give this place more stars, but really can't think of anywhere I could credit them for.To start things off, we had a reservation for dinner. When we arrived, we were told they didn't have our reservation (even though they had send me an email every hour of the day to remind me of my reservation). I had also spoken to a staff over the phone to confirm my booking on the day. After some back-and-forth with the staff, they realised they had given our table to someone else.Food service speed is no joke. Things came out ridiculously slow. We were there all up for 2 hours waiting for our food, with each dish coming out about 2pmin apart. Every time a dish was put onto the table, we jumped right in like starving seagulls. You'd think eating so slowly, we would start to feel full, nope, not at all.We were also told the restaurant had run out of tea and rice. What kind of restaurant runs out of their staples?!?The one star is given for the kind waiter who kept trying to explain to us why food was taking a while. Apparently they had a massive takeaway order go wrong, so the chefs were fixing that (??). We also witnessed staff giving wrong takeaway orders to people and then having to retrieve them.After spending about $70/pp (food only), we left hungry and went to pancake parlour for a proper dinner.

The food is amazing, many dishes to choose from and everything is delicious. The sushi is incredible. I highly recommend any of the fish or chicken options.. the service is very good. The only downfall is if its busy (which it generally is) the noise can be incredibly loud as there are a lot of tables in a small space this leads to an uncomfortable/unpleasant atmosphere. But the food makes up for it!

Restaurant with potential, which decides to greed for profit.Tightly packed so you can smell the person next to you, this restaurant does nothing to make sure you are guaranteed a good experience.From slow server service (bringing out 1 small item at a time)Slow food speed. People are not joking about the wait time for food to come out.Awkward food timings. In our case receiving a main at the start and end of the dinner.You can tell there is some sort of problem with staffing both out front and back.We gave our feedback on the way out...or tried to comment on how incredibly slow the service was and the person we spoke to just saidDo you speak Chinese? 1st time dinning here with the family and what a surprised. The food was delicious, staff service was fantastic and the price was affordable. Totally recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back again. Well done guys!

Inconsistent…Some excellent dishes. The Tacos with different flavours (Tuna, Prawn etc) are mouth watering. Oysters delicious. Sashimi was fresh and tasted beautiful.The mains are not as dazzling as the entrees - the Teriyaki Salmon dish is very small for $28.00, the Tonkatsu Chicken was very dry and the Signature dish was messy.Portions are incredibly small. The price is incredibly unjustified.A bit hit and miss.
