Turon Gates - Mountain Eco-Retreat

Our favorite camping location around Sydney. Nice to chill here, especially for our dogs. Nice clean shower with hot water. Lovely horses and so many wildlife animals were showing up time to time. We already been here 3 times. It is a nice place to refresh yourself.

Camping was such a beautiful location! The price was worth the amenities and the lakeside location. People should be aware though that it does get packed. We visited on a normal weekend and there was kids screaming from 6am-9pm. Kids and parents walking straight through our campsites and inbetween our cars. We tried to put tables and chairs in the way and ask them not to. But whether we were asleep, cooking dinner or hanging out, people would walk through our site for a shortcut. Cant really fault turon gates. I guess its more just the people that visit there. Shout out to the campsite dog pancho! He was great.

My partner and I visited in October and had an amazing time at Turon Gates. Weather was really good with beautiful sunsets apart from some light showers.We stayed in the glamping tent for 3 nights - everything was super clean and cozy! It was a great escape from technology with plenty of bush trails and wildlife. Just remember to bring enough food!Met Alex and a few other Turon staff who were very friendly and welcoming.10/10 would come back again. Great views and you sleep like a baby at night.

Superb camping experience - many spots to choose from and the kids loved the river experience. Lots of birds and for those who fish, there's trout to be caught! Did a few hikes. Upstream hike was like a magical wonderland with grassy knolls, orange butterflies, fun river crossings, goats and wombat city! Fab bathroom facilities - toilets and hot showers. Also, great wash up area and excellent drinking water available. Fast, ample hot water for all needs! There's even 2 outdoor power points for charging IT etc.

My son and I ventured out there on the motorbike for a single night camp. Søren the caretaker manager was very friendly and accommodating. The rate was quite reasonable, and the camping area was large with plenty of flat spots to set up a tent by the river. The river was beautifully clear and clean, and nice to walk into and sit down to cool off and had plenty of fish jumping around as the sun set. The bathrooms were very very clean and also had potable water available.

One of the best Camping Trips we’ve been on.We Stayed in the Glamping with our dog and had the best time. Managers where super friendly and accommodating. We can’t wait to go back. Best getaway you will find in NSW.

After reading a few bad reviews i was shocked to find the things a few bad eggs said. This place is unreal, you want a bush retreat only a few hours from Syney, this is your go to. Staff were great, room was clean and tidy, exactly what we paid for and expected.It seems some city folk go here expecting a city hotel room with no horse poo in the paddocks, they are the ones that should stay on Geroge St Sydney instead.10/10 for Mick and Alex. Will be returning soon enough with the family to soak up those spectacular views. Thank you guys

Pure Bliss!Less then 3 hours’ drive from Sydney. Set amongst the most stunning natural bush scenery, this 600-acres creekside campground gives you the freedom to sprawl out and find your own secluded patch. always a new path and adventure to experience.My favorite part is zero guilt trip for leaving my dog at home cause Turon is dog friendly, so bring your buddy along for the amazing experience. My boy is still resting after our trip.We spent our days taking refreshing swims in the watering holes or explore unspoiled wilderness with a bush walks with our dogs, relaxing beside roaring campfire and woke up each morning to incredible valley views and gentle splashes from the nearby creek. The wild life is breathtaking Kangaroos, trouts, Wagtails, ducks, Crimson Rosella’s, Horses, free roaming goats (super cute) – total bliss.Being in nature without the constant emails, messages and phone ringing really does give you a perspective of what life is really all about, so peaceful.Despite a ton of campers ( Australia day weekend ) the Bathrooms and showers were really clean and super practical with the dish station with water. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. They gave us a map prior to our booking.Highly recommend and already planning my next trip

An incredible place to wind down in nature. The glamping tents are super luxe, fully equipped with everything you could need, even an indoor fireplace to keep you warm in cooler months. The farm walks and scenery around the river and mountain are breathtaking and there’s plenty to explore. We’ve camped all over Australia and this is by far one of our best experiences yet! Highly recommend.
