Troy,Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough for the amount of time, love and care you put into mum’s celebration of life.From the first time we met and started planning mum’s ceremony to celebrate her life, we knew that we had made the right choice. The professionalism of your staff, who respectfully and took time to carefully prepare mum for transport after her passing, was heartfelt. We have been enormously impressed with your services in every way. The professional, sensitive, and efficient way in which the arrangements were handled are second to none.On behalf of our family, we extend to you, your staff from Chapter House and Wooling Hill, our sincere appreciation for your sympathy, kindness, professionalism during the planning and eventual loss of our mother.Losing mum was hard but knowing that you could provide us with a service that was carried out with such style and grace comforted us all.Nothing was too difficult, and you made sure everyone’s voice was heard, and nothing was too much trouble.You even allowed us to create a warm and inviting space that genuinely reflected mum for the ceremony. This was so healing and made many of the guests feel like they were stepping into mum’s home, making them feel so comfortable.You just made things happen without any hassle, always reassuring us that you could handle it. From the last-minute embroidery work for the casket, the photos printed on canvas, you even happily burnt the Paleo Santo to cleanse the guests as they arrived.You allowed us to have a voice and make the ceremony personal. This was the main reason for choosing you as our funeral director.We all fell in love with Wooling Hill and couldn’t imagine it being anywhere else. Driving up the long driveaway, we took in the beautiful scenery. It made us feel calm every time we visited. The entire funeral service provided by Chapter House (Troy Upfield and his team) comprised of the days before the passing of my beautiful wife, Cathy; the time given to us to spend our last moments together, were heartfelt and the professional and considerate pickup and care of Cathy from our home through to the eventual presentation of Cathy to the Wooling Hill Estates Chapel. The service was held in December 2020 during Covid restrictions; and that was a constantly changing challenge for us all to deal with. Troy and his team handled all that and completed a service beyond our expectations.My beautiful wife had succumbed to a sudden onset in her cancer which left us all in shock and scurrying to make arrangements for her palliative care at home and eventual passing. Troy Upfield personally attended to all details, carefully handling the days before Cathy passed, explained everything thoroughly, compassionately, and was so flexible in accommodating our wishes; every request was accommodated and met.Funeral service details, were carefully and thoughtfully explained with the care for my wife assured at all times. That care for Cathy meant the most to me and I was very comfortable knowing I could trust Troy and his team.We were able to farewell Cathy with the love and comfort she gave us all throughout her life.The Chapel and Wooling Hill grounds are a beautiful setting, and I know Cathy would have been pleased with our choice for her service. To this day I still visit the grounds and have always been made to feel welcome to wonder, sit and even chat with Troy and staff at the estate. It’s very comforting to know I (we) gave my Cathy a farewell befitting her tenderness and caring soul.
