I come from Adelaide and always visit Parkdale Chicken, great staff under the pump and those who reviewed this place lower then 5 star seems unfair, I myself say to all those low ratings I read are heart braking to an owner, I operate a tour business and food also, I think if you have an Uber you should not reflect your experience to the hard working team. Nice chicken. Chips are salty (but I like salt on my chips but may be a bit much for others.)3 tables out the front each with 4 seats.A nice breeze when sitting there.I try to visit here at each visit to Melbourne. I am never disappointed.

Parkdale Free Range Charcoal Chicken
It seems like an ordinary charcoal chicken place at first looking from outside. However, upon entering the premise, you are greeted by friendly staff who are smiley and prepare your order promptly. They are not fussy about your particular requests either (e.g. chicken breast for 1/4 chicken, doubling up the same type of salad). The chicken is delicious and I love the variety of fresh salads they have.

If i could give you zero stars here i would. Vegemite as your charcoal chicken seasoning is not good disgusting- yukk ewww!! Go invest in some proper herbs and chicken seasoning!!! Also your chips need some real chicken salt!! Get it right or close it down!

Looks good on the surface but not so nice when you take your first bite and nearly break a tooth. You should be cutting the hard bits away before the actual cut. No excuses for sloppyness. My boys have had a few hard bits in their HSP's on a few occasions too. Tastes good, but not worth the gamble with a dental bill. From your reviews this seems to have happened before.. train your people to discard the overcooked bits. It's understandable that sometimes it gets burnt whilst you're doing other things but you should show a duty of care and hopefully the care factor to not serve the burnt bits.

Parkdale Free Range Charcoal Chicken
We had stopped here for some lunch. I got a 1/4 chicken and some potato bake. The food was really good. Well priced as well with lots of options. The staff were really friendly and willing to accommodate our group. Lots of different salads available too. Easy location right near the railway line. Highly recommend.

Insane experience. Quick, well priced and great service.Ordered chicken, salad and chips as a last minute dinner as a friend was in town from Belgium. Everyone left full and raving about it!Highly recommended.

Parkdale Free Range Charcoal Chicken
The HSP was fantastic, the chips were still crunchy and didn't go soggy.The charcoal chicken and scalloped potatoes was also great. The guy who served us was friendly and accommodating and overall we had a great experience. Too bad it's too far from home to be out local!

Parkdale Free Range Charcoal Chicken
I was always happy with their food especially lamb and chips. Since moved from Mordialloc to Cheltenham I still get from them. My daughter even had few packs of lamb&chips for her 10th bday party last year.BUT.. tonight I got a lamb&chips for dinner as usual and it was very disappointing !! Lamb was burnt and hard! I don’t know if I wanted to get from them next time.
