Unfortunately I had a terrible experience during a house settlement recently. The practice failed to respond to phone calls and emails. The Conveyancer promised to send through documents and I was left waiting days without receiving anything. In addition the settlement adjustments were calculated incorrectly (based on an unexecuted copy of the contract of sale) and I had to come up with an additional $9k an hour prior to settlement. Talk about a stressful situation! As a single purchaser I had not foreseen these additional costs and had to rely on family members to fund.When I raised this with the Principle he was, rude, dismissive and didn't want to make time to discuss with me. He made a point that I should of checked the calculations (what experience do I have to check this, what do their fees cover?).Single women purchasing a house for the first time, avoid!Support locals, no thank you!Support competent, reliable and experienced team members.

Used to help with probate of mums will, they did it and we paid the bill and we thought we were done, sorted. 5 months later (and no communiation either) an additional bill for over $2k comes through for services we didn't ask for and that I did myself. Sharks. Off to VCAT.
