Worst experience ever....never build with Simonds if you want your dreams spoiled.....

Very organised team from start to finish, building has been a dream.

Do not build with them. Once you sign the contract say goodbye to good customer service.The quality of our build is pretty bad and have spent nearly a year trying to get Simonds to acknowledge some issues is difficult, but getting them to rectify them is near impossible.

Horrible service is all I can say

HORRIBLE PLACE TO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH. DO NOT RECOMMEND. SIMONDS literally takes your money and then ghosts you. The only contact we’ve had to Simmonds through the almost 3 year long build is them asking for money. The only contact we get is from builders who don’t do their job correctly and then proceed with next stages and laugh at you face. WORST COMPANY, do not go with Simonds Homes!!

Stop & Decide Wisely - Think a zillion times before you built with Simonds. Shockingly poor quality.A week after handover - I have reported that our staircase wall lights doesn’t fully close so we think that it’s an electrical issue but apparently this is not important as we were ignored from August to Present. We’ve now noticed several switches that are faulty and won’t press properly to keep the lights open.I have reported the below issues to our coordinator and building supervisor but no further action was taken instead I got a reply from the building supervisor with heaps of reasoning and non sensible answers and I’m tired of going back and forth - we felt that we’re always being ignored and not taken seriously since the beginning of the build process.My husband doesn’t like to built with Simonds but I chose you guys only because you’re in the industry for 75 years so I entrusted my first home to be built by Simonds. After waiting for our house for two years due to the lack of coordination in the North team and then towards the end just before the building stage got transferred to the East team advising us that our house location is closer to the East team then why aren’t we assigned to them in the first place?There were so many other concerns that was raised in the North team that wasn’t actioned accordingly but very happy with the East team afterwards especially with Brittany because she sort out all the issues that arised due to the North’s team unreliable work.Overall, we were very disappointed and dissatisfied with the North’s team work output. To be honest - they gave us heaps of anxiety. Now that our house is built and handed over - we thought that finally it’s all over but NO! we’re just seeing more and more things that we’re not happy about on the quality of the product that made us realise that our friends house which is just built by a small building company can build a much better quality house more than us.Another issue we found is when we tried fitting our fridge the leveling of the floor along the kitchen area is not leveled. Our fridge door is slamming (won’t steadily open) and my husband has placed a carton at the back of the fridge just to elevate the back flooring. Understand that Simonds did not do our flooring but the amount that our slab and our house is slanting downwards is just not acceptable - we’ve also just noticed that the bathroom niche in my daughters room is also not straight. Shampoos are falling down - I mean this is not only a poor job but no quality of workmanship at all.Major issue that we’re having right now besides the electrical for my families safety is the squeaky floor close to the linen area which was noticed and raised on our external inspector - again nothing was done about it and now that the carpet is in and we have moved in it’s going to be hard to fix this now.Latest issue was our house was handed over without the antennas being connected and again I’ve reported this to Ashley (Building Manager) which he passed this on to Chris (Building Supervisor) but no further action - again ignored, disrespected and unprofessional. I have contacted the company myself and they will resolve this issue for me ASAP!Same thing with our garage motor and remote issue when the house was handed over to us - the remote is not programmed and we were told by Chris that they are not doing any services (but they do) which is at that time the house was still unoccupied so we’ve waited for a month until we were able to resolve this issue ourselves . When I contacted the garage company - they immediately took action only to find out that the garage motor is defective so he has to replace it with a new one.Once again, I have contacted them myself and resolved the issue straight away!
