Your Unique Occasion

We found Pam lovely to deal with. When we first started looking for a celebrant we advertised and got a whole bunch of replies. We chose Pam from looking at her website and her reviews and because she was was competitively priced. We spoke a few times over Email and then had a lengthy phone-call with her before we locked her in. She then organised a meeting with her which was over the other side of Sydney (Terry Hills) where she went through all the process and started signing forms. She was fully organised and had all the information on hand. After that meeting, she gave us some homework of answering some questions of which she would put into our ceremony. We also chose to write our own vows and she allowed us to modify the parts of the ceremony that wasn't official. We got married on a boat in the middle of Sydney harbour and she was early waiting for the boat and was the first aboard when it arrived so she could setup. Because we had a very relaxed ceremony she allowed us time to talk and laugh. More importantly she was stuck on the boat until we could organised to dock so she could get off. Our only criticism is that we got married on a Tuesday and although we understand parking costs or travel costs into the city on a weekday, we got an invoice afterwards for the extra cost. Not sure why this couldn't have been included in the original cost but it is what it is. Overall she was lovely to deal with and exactly what we needed to make our day special.

The Celebrant of our wedding celebration was Pam van Van Aswagen from Our Unique Occasion. Pam was very professional, helpful, friendly and a delight to deal with.The ceremony was conducted on Saturday 30 April 2022 on the Captain Cook catamaran “Sydney Crystal”, which was a perfect venue for this occasion. We have had meetings with Pam several times in person over coffee and discussions on the phone before the event. Pam has impressed us on our wedding day. We love how she articulated her speech about our story in the ceremony, especially with the little information she has received from us. We were also very appreciated for her to arrive at the venue early and have everything prepared in advance. Her service was very professional, personal and puncture. Pam was absolutely Fantastic. Her beautiful attention to detail towards what was important to us and making it personal was amazing. The odd text now and then making sure everything was all ok before hand was very personable and thoughtful. Even a message afterwards to thank us was lovely. She even helped us arrange our marriage certificate and guide us with the name change for myself. She asked us to write our own vowels, which I we sceptical about but actually it made us so much more special and brought tears to the eyes of some of guests as it really shared the love we had for each other. Pam is incredible!!!She was so wonderful and thoughtful had great communication and personalised the ceremony right down to our personalities and our preferences. She was so adaptable to the changing nature of our wedding during COVID which started as a full family affair and ended in an elopement. She helped us navigate the legalities and made the whole process wonderfully seamless.Thank you so much Pam!!

Absolutely loved having Pam as our celebrant! She created a beautiful ceremony that celebrate our lives to this point. Pam was able to suggest some wonderful ideas that involved members of our family and friends as well as suggested a series of readings that resonated with us.
