1989 Arcade Bar
This bar has an amazing vibe and appeals to all ages. The selection of games was very well thoughtout, they had all the names that would come to mind even if you weren't born in the 80s. It's quite big as well, there are several rooms on both floors full of machines. The staff are friendly, the deal is that you buy a beer along with some coins. Each game is $1. They even have a Mega drive with Sonic the Hedgehog at one of the tables. My only suggestion would be about having some more convenient places to put your beer while playing the games. That said many people just hang out at the tables around the bright lights and sound of the machines . Had a really amazing time. It's a great place to take your friends to see something totally different, definitely recommended.

This bar was amazing. They had a good selection of craft beers either in bottle or on tap, almost made cocktails. Then the games. This is so amazing. Nothing goes better to together than gaming and drinks. They have old school arcades, consoles, board or cards games. Pizza is provided by a shop a couple of doors down and is delicious.Highly recommended.

Randomly walked in here when the trains at Newtown were cancelled to kill some time. Wow. What an amazing experience. Arcade games from back in the day and some really awesome pin ball machines. The pin ball machines even have drink holders on them so you can rest your beer while racking up the points. What a great time. Highly recommended for some beers and fun.

Awesome place, awesome vibe, chill staff. I don't even drink, but there's plenty to do with all the arcades there. You can do it will jamming out to your favourite 80s and 90s songs.

A very friendly and welcoming place. Wide selection of 80s and 90s arcade machines spread over two floors. Good selection of beers and spirits. Bar staff and patrons are friendly and are always up for a chat and to share their knowledge/skills on the retro video games. I’m not local to the area, but to me it’s worth the 30 minute journey there. Basically, I think there are two ways to think of this place: either an arcade where you can enjoy a couple of beers; or a bar where you can have the occasional bout on Street Fighter II. Either way, it’s a great place.
