Malatang hot pot
Malatang Hot Pot is our favourite place in the Southside when we crave for Asian-style soup, with all the condiments available to complement the soup. Since you can build your own soup, including choosing the broth, our vegan preference can be met. The wide range of ingredients is all fresh, the broths we have tried are all delicious, and one order can be either shared between my mom and me (good value for money) or solely enjoyed by my husband. The staff service is quick and excellent -- they always offer to cut into little pieces the noodles and vegetables so my elderly mom can chew and swallow her soup easily. We didn't even ask for this, the first time, but it surely helped mom enjoy her food. Their take away container is huge, which suits their big serving! A must for Asian-style soup lovers!

Really worst costumer service. I requested the lady to top up same sesame sauce but she is said it’s finished and acted like she didn’t even care about the customers at all.

It's in the food court. Malatang itself is not bad but no matter how much food you put in the bowl, the serving dish was small so soup was not enough. Still nice food but personally another chain Malatang was better.

I love their hot and spicy malatang soup! Although I would say you have to be careful with what you pick as some of the ingredients look/ smell funny sometimes, it is good as long as you pick good ones (like making sure meats/ seafood are still frozen, mushrooms aren't sticky)

They have the best pork buns I’ve had since living in Malaysia. My daughter and I always get 2 and share them almost every time we are at the shops.

One of our Southside regular visits, malatang has so much variety in ingredients for your soup, the flavours are so tasty and the service is impeccable. I would definitely recommend the spicy dip soup and if you’re in the area to definitely pop your head in.

This place opened on Tuesday, I got some veggies, spam, beef and mushrooms with noodles in bone soup! I like that there’s a variety of different soup bases you can choose from. Will be trying the pho broth soon. Would recommend during the winter days if you’re down in tuggeranongThe staff are friendly and the food comes out pretty quick, good for a quick lunch. Only negative thing so far is that I got there around 11:30 but not all the food was out yet.They charge by weight if you didn’t know fyi.
