Stopped here with some friends for a beer and a feed on the way to a concert. Beers are expensive but cold. The food was excellent. I had the crispy pork belly salad and the better half had a roasted pumpkin and fetta salad. 9/10

I had eye fillet , chips, salad.Cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth. We also ordered the rump, melt in your mouth and cooked to perfection.Salads are fresh and pleasantly surprised to find feta cheese and black olives!Roast pork of the day was huge and just as delicious.Great atmosphere with service to match.Very busy but don’t keep walking. We didn’t have to wait very long at all. There is upstairs dining as well.So if you can’t see a table head up there.

Local pub vibe with city prices. Plenty of beer and cider on tap. Pork Belly salad and bread with trio dips was delicious! Wedges were drenched in sauce and not so great, would’ve been better to have sauce on the side. Close to theatre district, and good spot for a quick bite and drink before your show.

Great place for a meet up with friends or work colleagues.Great selection of nice beers on tap and a decent menu from snacks to dinner.I would only say, the best thing they need to do is turn off the auto fragrance dispenser they have over the ground floor bar. Soon as you walk into the place it smells like a men's urinal cakes. It's fowl having to smell that whilst trying to enjoy the taste of food or beer.

I started going here a bit when I found they had two English ales on tap, which was great.Once recently, the Old Speckled Hen I ordered was completely carbonated, and disgusting. I simply switched to the Hobgoblin they had on tap. This beer wasn't carbonated and was at cellar temperature, and tasted great. The next time I went in, with a friend who wanted to try a real English ale, we were served the Hobgoblin ice cold, as it must have gone through the cooling system with the other beers on tap. I politely brought it up with the manager, who instantly stonewalled, claiming that 'the whole cellar is ice cold'. I have worked in plenty of pubs previously, and can tell you that that statement is a categorical lie.1 star for being a British pub that's unable to serve English ale properly. Would give -5 if I could. Go to the Charles Dickens instead, if you like English ale.

I love the vibe. Sides like chips and wedges were crispy, fresh and very flavourful. Dips were amazing. Most of the cocktails are up to the mark and friendly bar tenders.

Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. The food was delicious and hot. Would definitely recommend pulling up a chair for a few hours.

The place has a heritage vibe with heavy wooden staircases, furniture, paintings, armoury and is very cosy inside. Salads and chips are very fresh, margarita vegan pizza was good but not for it's cost. There's a nice seating area in the first floor but for some reason each time I have visited for lunch, one has to collect food after the pager buzzes from the ground level. This is despite a food-elevator in the first floor bar.All in all, it's one of popular Bourke Street restaurant - bar and for a reason.
