Red Hill Bushland Reserve

The reserve has changed a lot over the years. What was once a dark, pine tree covered area, with a few dirt tracks and BMX jumps has been converted into a usable area. The parking area on Callanans road has been expanded; a covered BBQ and picnic area, with toilets, has been added. The new playground provides for imaginative and adventurous play, in addition to swings. There is also a war memorial (with flag pole) and recognition for the original Red Hill- Bittern railway and the original Red Hill fire station. The information boards in the covered area are particularly brilliant - and provide a map and historical information (indigenous Australian inclusive) and a handy guide for local wildlife.

Nice little park for kids to play, nothing special though. We met here for an indigenous walk with Lionel from LivingCultureLtd. 5 stars for the walk!
