Costis Seafood Market Cafe
Paid for our fresh fish and then waited for them to be gutted and scaled. They took them back to the prep area and we waited, then they brought them out packaged. When we got home we discovered the fish hadn't been gutted or scaled! Very disappointing.

I’m glad that costi’s Has opened at green hills.The display is amazing absolutely next level, the quality of the fish is sublime.The variety is better than any in Newcastle.we purchased the blue eye cod which was recommended to us by the manager and we were not disappointed.We always buy tiger prawns which we can’t not buy at least a kilo as the taste and freshness is at the highest standardCan’t for Xmas as our family and friends from out of town will finally get to experience what seafood is all about

I have only bought chips and gravy from there on 2 occasions. I wouldn't buy fresh fish from them because their hygiene standards are a bit dodgy.Update: Hygiene standards are still pretty dodgy. I walked past the shop on New Years Day at about 8pm and it stunk of rotten fish and sewerage. I could smell it as soon as I got off the escalator and it was strongest in front of the shop. They really need to get their act together when clean the shop. The stench is probably going to affect the neighbouring shops before they even open in the morning.

I buy Barramundi, Mount Cook (New Zealand) Salmon, Oysters and particularly King Crab legs from Costi's.This shop is absolutely the best in town with the variety of products and particularly the quality of seafood.The product is so fresh that you can see Wayde cutting up fish right at the store.Good location, good price and the best seafood shop.Well done Wayde!

This store is has the freshest, best quality seafood we have found in the Newcastle/Hunter area, The staff are lovely and go above and beyond, and recognise us every time we return! We travel from Port Stephens and it is worth the trip!The prawns are huge and so tasty, and the Oysters and Salmon are hands down the best I have had! Good job guys, keep up the great work!

Blown away! Amazing display! Staff were amazing! Great customer service and food was Devine! Family and I love fresh coral trout and these guys source it on a regular basis! Wild caught fresh prawns full of flavour.. will be back can’t wait for Christmas!

I went a few days before Christmas and asked if they would have unshucked oysters on Christmas eve. I was confidently told by the blonde lady in charge that they would have them and have lots of stock. So instead of going somewhere else I arrived at 5:55am on the 24th and was told they didn't have any when I asked. I knew by then if I went say to Newcastle I'd be stuck in lines forever and I had lunch to be at. After spending a few hours the previous day trying to buy a shucking knife I was actually quite disappointed. You really can't get the fresh flavour from shucked washed oysters. I'll be going elsewhere next time.

It is great to have a large selection of seafood in the area. They have cooked food on sale as well as fresh seafood. A good range of prawns green and cooked, fish whole and fillets. Price is a bit dear though but it is the best variety in town.
