Blue Plate Restaurant
Having traveling the world for many years and rated at many Michelin Starred restaurants, the Chef James cuisine equal many of the other great place. We were 3 persons and took 4 different entrees and three different desert and shared among us because it was so good. The restaurant Blue Plate is located in the Posthouse Motel in Goulburn. Make a reservation to be certain to experience a very fine dining.

Search and you shall find. And what a gem of a beautiful restaurant we found in Goulburn. I asked some friends about a good place to eat in Goulburn and I got an average reply: “Not much there, you may as well go to a generic chain…”. Well let me tell you all, there’s a golden place at the end of this town’s rainbow. The staff are wonderful and the chef with kitchen staff delivers global quality dishes at a very fair price. I guarantee you we will be back at the awesome Blue Plate on our next visit to Goulburn. Who knows I may even decide to detour into the town to experience this place again. Keep it going great Team Blue Plate!!!

Blue Plate Restaurant
Fantastic restaurant in Goulburn, definately worth checking out if you're in town! The portions aren't huge, and the meals are quite pricey, but they are delicious and definitely worth splurging on if you're feeling like a fancy night out. They definitely do not skimp out on expensive ingredients, and in the seafood pasta I got there was heaps of prawns, oysters and mussels. Externally the place doesn't seem particularly fancy but inside is quite nice, with candles on each table, and fantastic, friendly and fast service.

We will come here again when we want a treat.A quality chef prepared the menu and made our meals.We had a brie and a blue cheese appetiser; good sized and delicious; served its purpose.Chicken and salmon dinners were superb.Affogato and dark chocolate desserts were good sized and served purpose of closing the meal.Reasonable wine selection.Fabulous waiter service, they were lovely people.Good parking. Wheelchair friendly. Pay for quality, but not outrageous.

Yes! You should go here!This place is clearly not getting the google review crowd, but it is a fantastic place.The way they've done the place makes it not very loud, perfect for fine dining, which you will definitely get here.The menu is modestly to moderately priced and you might need to do both two and three takes of it before making your choice because there's nuance to almost everything on there.What you will receive is very good value for money, but also just down right gorgeous! Everything is presented in a very deliberate way, tastes amazing, and has a personal touch of the chefs.Probably the least pretentious truly fine dining you can find.

Arrived on a Saturday night without a booking and although the restaurant was full, they still managed to squeeze us in. Very friendly and attentive service and a delicious menu. Would come back in a heart beat.

If you are in Goulburn, do yourself a favour, go to the Blue Plate. The service was brilliant - friendly, attentive and helpful. My food was great, the best in town. The wine selection looked impressive and my Chard by the glass was really nice.I had the scallops, rack of lamb and a brulee. The lamb rack was fantastic. The scallops were beautifully cooked albeit a little over sauced for my taste. The brulee was good.

Had a light dinner here after driving from Melbourne. Friendly service. shared some scallops to start. The lamb was good and the desert excellent

Blue Plate Restaurant
Food is excellent, but some of the service staff need training in reading the body language of diners and acting accordingly. Also, diners should never be made to feel rushed so keep that in mind. Manager seems alert and on the ball which is great.
