Visited The Bay Hotel on a very busy day, loads of blokes screaming at the football... quite intimidating but obviously not the venues fault... service at the bar was fast and friendly, tables weren't cleared but it was understandable considering the amount of pub goers. Tuesday steak special was average, steak was a little tough and grey... though the mussels were great!Room to improve for sure but overall was a good experience.

Simply the best pub in Mornington (if not the Peninsula!)Have been here numerous times & it continues to impress. Food is excellent, great wine list, toasty open fire downstairs, footy on in the background & the whole place has an old school feel with a modern twist.The staff know the true meaning of the word ‘hospitality’ - warm, knowledgeable & always super helpful.

Ordered the Sunday roast and it was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve ever had. It was a piece of pork on a mash purée,with a side salad. My wife’s tuna niçoise salad was very over cooked. Two meals and two drinks came to just under $100. Won’t be rushing back!

We had a booking for lunch on Thursday for our newborn baby to meet friends - we were so happy with our meal and service on Thursday that we rebooked for lunch today (Sunday) with another group of friends - the lovely front of house manager recognized my name from Thursday’s booking - and had put us in the vault but also reserved us two tables out on the floor in case the vault table was to high - I couldn’t believe the initiative and consideration to do this without me mentioning the pram in my booking - purely from her remembering my booking from Thursday. As it turned out - we chose the lower tables - and were so grateful for the staff member who thought to reserve us this area in case the vault wasn’t suitable. We have had such great experiences both times we have dined here- staff, service and food was all 10/10

Looks great. Great feel. Great vibe.Most of the staff were friendly. Unfortunately with a big place, there will always be the odd staff member that is having a rough day.Meals were good.Would definitely recommend!!

Came here for a lunch with the wife, the Bay has a fantastic atmosphere, love the new design and the food and service was nothing short of excellent. Wife and I had a Parma they were fantastic big serve, very fresh, up there with the best we have had. And the lady serving us (didn't get her name) was awesome, so friendly happy to have a quick chat and not just act like a robot server. Price is up there, but what you would really pay anywhere for decent food these day, and let's face it when lettuce costs more than my mortgage what do you expect, happy to pay for quality food and service and that is exactly what we got.

Really loved this Bar great selection of beers good food and atmosphere aimed at an older clientele I’ve been a regular since opening attending with my family for meals and friends for a drink on regular occasions but after my last experience there this weekend I won’t ever return our whole group was refused service after spending a thousand dollars over the bar by the manager who couldn’t state any reason for her decision other than she didn’t need one and to say she was rude is an understatement I will never return and I wouldn’t recommend any groups to the venue unless you want to be treated like a teenager spoken to rudely or intimidated by security set on you by a very rude woman who’s managerial power has gone to her head so disappointed and I will never return.
