Great place to have a picnic and to wander around. You can just relax at the picnic area next to the car park. Lots of history and the most amazing Railway bridge. Just watch out for the geese as they can get aggressive, also we had to encounter mosquito's.Great to see everyone taking there rubbish home. Decent amount of parking but the toilets were not that clean. Definitely recommend for people living in surrounding suburbs.

I am glad I finally stop here after years of shooting past between Melbourne and Bendigo. I find the (bg) botanical garden well designed, home to some interesting trees- one of them >300 years! The well fed ducks and geese at the pond, the willow trees that always softens a place up, .. What a place to chill out! There is even a historical fish hatchery on the way walking to the iconic viaduct close by! Wow! Say no more. I will be back to hike around the area. I have seen young, well mannered local kids cycling around by themselves . Well equiped with clean public toilet , cafes and eateries.. This place deserves a fee hours at least!

What a beautiful gem of a place. Huge Geese around the area, plenty of shade, cross bridges, grass and seats for relaxing, well maintained flora, and a big bridge for passing trains. Toilets and drinking taps here too. A great stop over location if you're heading north of Victoria.

Lovely park. We had lunch here, with some pies from the bakery. The geese were very friendly and would eat out of your hand. The railway viaduct is beautiful and worth a walk to have a look at it.

One of the best park in Victoria during winter. It’s small but quiet and peaceful. Feeling so blessed just to be here and watching the leafs falling all day while listening to the bird singing

In spring, flowers and leaf are blooming around ponds and lake. Had really good relaxing time after read a book with a coffee and wood fire in calm and quite place in morning, the stables. Would be my day off routine I guess.

Make sure to walk around here and sit for a bit to watch the train passing through the 150++ year old viaduct. What an experience!

I visited Mid April during the Macedon Autumn festival season. It’s pretty little garden with full of Autumn colour. There were goose walking around garden. And little bridge in the middle of garden is photogenic place.Toilet facility just next to the entrance.

We had an awesome Sunday picnic at this spot, not too far from Gisborne (20 minutes) and the view is spectacular. There is also less crowd than popular Macedon so that's a further bonus. Things not to miss is the lake with few ducks and the bridge. Highly recommended.
