Great family run daycare with lovely warm carers and great facilities for the kids.

Our two year attends 3 days a week and we couldn't be happier with the centre. The staff are the most wonderful, dedicated people who have a genuine care for all the kids that attend. The management is fantastic, never too busy to help and answer questions and extremely well educated in the Early Childhood field. Thank you Kookaburra Kindergarten!

My son has attended Kookaburra Kindergarten since he was 18 months. He is so happy and settled because of the amazing staff who are so kind and caring. In addition, their education program is top notch, with noticeable results in development. If you are looking for a centre that is caring, but also helps creates independent and confident children, Kookaburra Kindergarten is the place for you.

We moved our daughter here after finding another place (franchise) disengaging, impersonal and stressful atmosphere. Within a week of starting, we knew all the staff, my daughter was looking forward to going to kindy and playing in the amazing outdoor area and she had a buddy. This place has been outstanding compared to what we left.

Kookaburra Kindergarten is set in a bright, spacious and recently renovated house with a warm, homely feel. The beautiful big garden has natural vegetation and brilliant play areas (sandpit, swings, slide, climbing apparatus, bike track, boat, etc), which my two year old absolutely loves. The children play outside every day unless there is a chance of rain. The indoor facilities are good and the educators offer a variety of activities throughout the day. There aren’t many excursions outside of the centre and although there are seasonal celebrations, I think more community engagement activities would be enhance children’s experience.The centre manager is very organised and was quick to arrange a tour for us and offer us a place. The staff are all extremely friendly and caring towards my child – in particular there are a few educators who have been there for many years who are very committed and attuned to the children’s needs. The settling in period was very short (two hours with parent in attendance), especially compared to other some other centres.One area that could be improved is communication, e.g. where to find information about policies, curriculum, staff members & their qualifications, public holiday closures etc. Storypark is the main way educators and staff make announcements, communicate to parents what the children have been doing each week, and set goals & monitor an individual child’s progress, but the updates can be patchy and don’t give much specific information about my child.My child settled very quickly and is always happy to go to Kookaburra – a testament to the positive atmosphere and welcoming staff.

My 2 year old son has been attending Kookaburra for over a year and he absolutely loves his teachers and friends there - his confidence has really built since starting daycare. What is most important to us is that the staff must enjoy working at this Centre as his teachers have been there for so many years. They are so caring and involved my sons development as well as value feedback from the parents. We are pregnant with #2 and have already put her name down for 2020.

We have been with kookaburra kindergarten for over 5 years now (both our kids) and we are very happy with them. The teachers are very friendly, caring, and easy to talk to. Some of them have been there for years and have taught both my kids. The whole center has been newly renovated and it is really nice. The rooms are bright and spacious, and there are lots of activities for the kids to do. The playground area is outdoors and large which is a massive plus PLUS being in Chatswood! They also have lots of outdoor play equipment to keep kids busy.In the baby classes, the teachers work around our baby’s schedule and are very tentative, patient and caring to their needs. They also look at individual interests and structure customised learning plans around these. Both our kids started before they were 1 years old and it did not take long for them to settle in and get to know the teachers.As they progressed to the older classes, there are also lots of activities that prepare them for school; e.g. learn science doing experiments (e.g. build a volcano); learn about the environment, (e.g. a worm farm, saving energy, recycling); learn maths and writing; prepare them for social scenarios when they start school; and MORE.Throughout the year, lots of different events are celebrated. For some events, the kids bring back art work to us which is nice. There are also incursions. These are always fun for the kids.With the online app, we are kept informed, and see what the kids have been doing. We really love seeing them learn and having fun.My kids really enjoy going to Kookaburra Kindergarten and we highly recommend it!
