Myall Creek Memorial Site
It is a important part of australian history, that really not a lot of people know about. It marks an area where a group of local Aboriginals where rounded up and killed, children and adults. It's a special memorial, a very sacred place.

Unfortunately the history here didn't shock us at all. Anyone who still thinks that Invasion Day didn't happen needs to come and read every word that is written here. As a matter of fact it would do Australia a lot of good if everyone spent a day here and just really thought about our TRUE history. Every one of the hundreds of massacre sites in our country needs a memorial like this one. Vote YES for the Voice!!

Very sad that we can do this to other human beings, and not unique to Australia either, as it happened all over the world, even sader, it's still happening today in some parts of the world!

This site is significant for all the wrong reasons. The memorial and interpretation trail provide ample time for reflection on past atrocities. The fact that this case led to the first charges and execution of the perpetrators, is important in the history of European and Indigenous relations in Australia.

An incredibly moving, spiritual, and important experience. The informative signs throughout the walk, and in the native plant garden we’re beautiful. It was disgraceful that one of the signs has been vandalized, and I hope this is rectified soon. This is truly a must for anyone traveling through the area, as a reminder of the past, the present & the future. Amenities are well-maintained.

A spiritual place and a great reminder to us all about our sad history. Hopefully we can show more respect and compassion for all people especially our indigenous people in the futre.

Lots of money has been spent on this to improve the facilities. Make sure to allow enough time to walk the trail & read all the information.
