Really wanted to give this place a five star as the food tasted great and the ambience was nice and graceful, but the service was just not the greatest (especially by the older gentleman) given the price and the class. Maybe they are understaffed on the weekends, maybe they have always been like that. Also, when we asked to take away our remaining food, they put all dishes into one box, which I know is an eco thing to do, but just completely ruins the flavor of each dish. With that being said, if you want to enjoy Chinese food in a nice and neat environment, and do not mind the price and the less responsive service, this place is recommended.

A best last minute decision! I took my family to the restaurant on a Tuesday and the service and food was amazing. Very tasty duck, yummy authentic fried rice and the dumplings were well cooked. I will definitely be visiting next time I’m back in Sydney.

Best place we've eaten in a long time. It's not the cheapest but in this case you get everything you paid for. They catered for our kids a special dish which was fantastic service.It's now a regular in our house.

Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. There was so much choice on the menu, with an enviable wine list. The staff were extremely helpful with their recommendations and we were not disappointed with what hit the table! I've seen some comments about how the staff weren't smiling (with masks on) and firstly I ask, how can you tell?! Secondly, they were warm, friendly and attentive. What more do you need?! Have already recommended to others and will happily return, truly delicious.

Service is awful, food is mediocre at best. There's a plethora of far better restaurants within walking distance. Don't waste your time and money dining here.

I remember my dad taking me here when I was 5. Met Matthew Chan and he gave me the chop sticks to take home. I am now 50. Its still a great place to meet and great. One of sydney's old school business lunch establishment. Well done for all the years ;)

Always hear that this is supposed the be a top quality Chinese restaurant. It was just OK. Can get much better food at a quarter of the price lots of other places.If you like 80s decor, bad and indifferent service and exorbitant prices then go for it.

Delicious Chinese time after time! Wether it’s eat in or take out the food is always on point. Eat in is a real occasion with lovely table service. Consistent professional to the point staff that know their craft well. Definitely need to book ahead on the weekends. Family favorites include crab with soft egg, spring rolls, steak with honey walnut, Peking duck and honey prawns (definitely get these!!).

What a delightful place to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine coupled with very good service. Small little things like hot towels at start and end of out meal, our server plating up our meals at the start, fortune cookies at the end, etc took us back in time when some of these things were normal part of dining in a Chinese restaurant. Food presentation, was amongst the best I've experienced in Sydney and the serve portion was just right. This one is certainly being added to my regular dining out list!

Peacock Gardens have always provided me with an excellent experience, the staff are all very experienced and friendly. The prices are also very affordable and the quality of their dishes are superb.
