Diggers Services Club

Went in for lunch with my son. Got there at 12noon.Signed in and went up stairs, the lady at the front desk told me that the bar and restaurant was open.Got up the stairs and was told that they are not open yet.Went back down and asked the lady what time they open and she said 12noon. It was now 5 past and they still weren’t open. Then the lady told me I can take my 5yr old into the gaming area to get a beer and an apple juice while we waited for the restaurant to open.Then got told by 3 bar staff all at the same time that he wasn’t allowed in the gaming room. Which I thought was against RSA and Gaming license rules..I told them that the lady at the front desk told me we can go there. They said I was wrong and can’t be there.Cya, never to return.Seriously, hey your story straight and make up your mind.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night good was great steak cooked perfectly. They had a live band which made us stay till after midnight. Great atmosphere great staff. Would recommend. Also had a look through all the old photos and firearms was great

Meals are nice enough and quite generous. They are pretty expensive for a club, unless you get the special. The service is excellent and very friendly however! The live performance on a Saturday is a nice bonus.

Not too bad a venture for the area. A real shame as a veteran with ID; vets can’t even receive a discount.. Another venue that uses the name & association for profit & not the intention.

From the beginning of entering the premises at service provided by the staff was brilliant, to the time I and my friend left the food was abundant and delicious very clean and hygienic, It was that impressive I joined an became a member for two years that day.

Had the beef lasagne and the fettuccine carbonara today but unfortunately they were really disappointing. Especially the lasagna, it was really soggy and had a bitter aftertaste. The chips that came with it were also soggy and very chewy. The carbonara was really bland and lacked any sort of flavours. Even the garlic bread was really oily :(

Unfortunately Food wasn't the greatest brunt and overcooked chicken parmigiana. Also They say they serve Mushroom sauce but unfortunately they only serve gravey with everything which is disgusting. One of the kids meals was a steak and chips which was extremely tough and bitter to eat and didn't come with sauce..

Food was 4 stars, yummy, just waited so long for it and then they forgot toppers for the steaks , when the toppers were cooked only one of the prawns brought out and the order was forgotten. After raising the issue again , it finally came out probably 45 mins later, by then the steak was eaten well before the topper came out .Best thing was the shared entree that's a winner.The bar person that night was great , professional and quick getting our drink orders , the front door MR personel greeted us, was friendly and also professional.We came on Sunday for dinner . Both myself and my grandmother who visited from NZ used to work here years ago , so I'm not too critical of Diggers . I love the new renovations and the look of the club and diggers will always have a soft spot for our family . Thank you

Last night we had the most wonderful meal.The fish of the day.It was cooked beautifully and was nice and hot.All the staff were so nice, cheerful and happy.Was a great little club,lovely and clean.I became a member cause we are definitely going back.
