Birches Serviced Apartments

We had a long stay in Melbourne due to ongoing medical appointments. Birches was a fantastic option. Unique that we could have our much-loved dog with us, pet friendly in every way. Apartment was clean and well appointed; the bed was extremely comfortable. Staff went out of their way to assist us. Birches was excellent during lockdown as each unit has separate air conditioning unit and is fully self-contained. Location is excellent we loved walking around the local area. Easy walk to major sporting facilities, parks, and the city. Close to major hospitals and public transport links. Nearby shopping; and restaurants. Loved the secure off road parking facility. We cannot wait to come back and stay when Melbourne is open to enjoy all that this area has to offer.Thank you to staff for making our stay so comfortable.

Great location. Clean and nice space. Convenient location. Was wonderful to be able to open windows.

Booked the room for 3 people and had to do a late check in, when we arrived there was no linen for the sofa bed just a blanket. Messaged the after hours manager with no reply.We emailed them after checking out to mention and all they wanted to offer was a free night for 1 next time we stay. They were not willing to offer any form of refund until I advised I would seek a chargeback from my bank. They were then quick to send a measly $30.I wouldn't recommend this place, the room was not nice, it was very noisy, sofa bed made a lot of noise every time you moved. And generally not a great experience.

Convenient to several hospitals, not a lot of food places nearby but reasonable walk towards Smith St Fitzroy (got some nice pubs) or Victoria St Richmond (lots of Asian food places) and bound to find something. Reception not manned all hours which can be inconvenient if you don't remember that. Overall I think it's a good value stay.

Birches Apartments was a very smooth easy and friendly experience. The apartment is very clean, the bathrooms are very clean and user friendly. The showers are great and the small kitchen area and utilities are great too.Very nice service and respect around the premises. The parking service is great too and easy. There is 1hr free parking on the street which also helps alot to for parking close by. Altogether a very accommodating place and well located. I would book again. Cheap, cosy, convenient, with closed off guest parking.

Absolutley amazing stay, the disabled unit was perfectly set up and catered to every need, cannot recommend highly enough and will always stay at birches in the future when i have to be in the city. Very clean, well thought out and every amentity you could need. Will definitely be back!

The location was great and the room was just about ok and way overpriced compared to amenities provided. We paid AUD$510 for two nights plus AUD$30 for parking and we got one tiny little soap in the bathroom. We were lucky to get 4 towels, thank you very much for doing this favour on us. Also they activated my key card for one night only despite prepaying for 2 nights because their credit card system had a glitch when processing my AUD$30 payment for parking over the phone 24 hours prior to check-in. Will never ever return and will not suggest my family or friends to book here.

Cheap but you get what you pay for First room they gave us had windows wide open when we walked in a smelled like wet dog. Next room was much better but very basic. Nice and close to MCG and a quick ride into Melb CBD via tram 109. WARNING - its a dog friendly place so dog smells will happen.

This is a fantastic place to stay in East Melbourne, quiet and leafy but so close to everything via foot or public transport, very convenient if you are travelling with a child (park with play equipment nearby and bath in the bathroom). IGA supermarket nearby. The staff were friendly and very accomodating, and parking option much appreciated.
