The food was below average. Ordered the lobster ravioli, absolutely no taste of lobster (doubt any lobster was in there) and the ravioli was hard & chewy. There were more tomatoes in the dish than any pasta. My friends ordered the fish of the day which was bland & overly priced. The salmon pizza was very average. The price wasn’t justifiable. The desserts were better, tiramisu was good & the panacotta was excellent. We were most unhappy with the staff that served us. She smiled but said rude things. She never bothered filling our glasses with water & we had to help ourselves. She was in a big rush to get us out for another group.Wouldn’t recommend this place as the quality of food does not tally with the price!!

Went for dinner tonight in chadstone. Found this Italian place and gave it a go. Everything was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend. Plus the waiter was AMAZING with his recommendations. African guy you are amazing. Thankyou for your service. Will definitely be back.

Had lunch here for a work function on a weekday with no crowds or queue.Overall, food was terrific with special mentions to the calamari fritti and maccherronicini al ragu.Service was also very attentive with used dishes consistently removed, a server nearby to take drink orders and the background music toned down for a speech.Special mention to the team for catering for those with dietary requirements with substitutions. Thanks for having us and I'm sure you'll see us later!

Overrated. I had high hopes for this joint considering it was quite new and around The Social Quarter section of Chadstone.Bookings are essential as any Italian restaurant gets super busy - so do yourself a favour and book.I honestly felt like the lady who led us to our table was wonderful, but we were assigned a different waitress for the actual dining experience. She either didn’t have enough experience or was assigned too many tables for her sections, because after she took our orders, she literally didn’t ever come back to ask for anything, top up our waters etc. We were shoved into the very back corner so we felt like we were forgotten about, and pretty much no other waiter was around that section to fill up or check in.If you’re not going to have the means to top up people’s waters (which I totally understand isn’t always possible when it’s busy), then just give the tables a jug of water instead of gatekeeping it. A different guy ended up coming by and noticed our glasses were empty and filled it up.The entree was stunning, the bresaola pizza. Came out quick and fresh from the wood-fired pizza. After that, we thought we were in for a treat. Unfortunately, it took an hour and a half for our mains to arrive. One of them was definitely waiting on the pass for too long and was a bit cold. But when you had a booking at 7:00 and it was 8:45 by the time you started eating, you obviously can’t be bothered complaining for a re-heat because you’re so hungry by then. The gnocchi wasn’t too bad, but the spaghetti and ravioli dish (wish I could give you guys the proper names but the menu on the restaurant’s website is not the same menu we ordered from that night; probably needs an update), were bland and not moreish at all. Really small portions compared to the monster price tags. Lygon Street does it better.I want to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt, but if you’re going to make me wait an hour and a half for food, it should be much better than what I received. Try it out for yourselves, it may have just been a rough night for the staff/cooks when I went, but be cautious and don’t go in expecting too much. Hoping they improve as it would be great to have an Italian joint like that so close to home (:

We had a great dinner here last Saturday night. All of our food were delicious and they came out quite quickly. The Pannacotta was very good as well. Our waiter was really friendly and funny and the other wait staff were also attentive, regularly filling up our water.I was a bit apprehensive about coming here after reading quite a few reviews about the bad service but thought I would try it as most people say the food is good and I'm glad I tried it as our experience was really good.

I feel this restaurant charges like a gourmet restaurant but the food is quite basic. The service is lacking. Our main waitress was lovely and on the ball but all the staff seemed like trainees or they just didn't care. Bringing the wrong food and not all at a similar time, spilling wine all over the table and my phone. Don't think I will visit again unfortunately.

Service was not bad- friendly wait staff.Oysters very very fresh- but needed oyster forks or something- nothing provided.Pizza was very bland. However, pastry was excellent.Pasta also quite bland- I was watching them cook the pasta and it looked like someone new was doing it- possibly the reason something was definitely missing.Overall atmosphere was nice- cutlery nice, plates were great and so was presentation.Just taste could be improved and more flavoursome.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! We stopped in for a casual dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the dishes. Everything was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and served hot. The bread was fluffy and fresh, and the pasta was cooked al dente. We couldn't find anything to criticize. In fact, my mum said it was the best pizza she had ever had in Melbourne. We all thoroughly enjoyed our pizzas and spaghetti. I highly recommend their Limoncelo Spritz for a refreshing beverage, although the tiramisu was just okay. It's surprising that this restaurant only has a 3.4 rating on Google Reviews. In my opinion, the food quality deserves a much higher rating of 4.6. I felt compelled to write this review and give them the recognition they deserve.Although there were many empty tables, people were lining up outside. It seems like the restaurant may be trying to prevent the kitchen from getting overwhelmed with too many orders at once. Despite this, the waiting time wasn't too long and we only had to wait in line for about 15 minutes. The staff were warm and friendly, and they immediately attended to our needs. When the waitress forgot our tiramisu order, the waiter quickly followed up and delivered it to us promptly. We had a fantastic dining experience overall and we will definitely be returning to this restaurant. We didn't encounter any issues with our food or drinks being mishandled, and the staff took great care in placing everything on our table.

I attended a function in the private dining area which was very professionally set-up and the service was good. Loved the way the windows opened. Fabulous dishes loved the stuffed zucchini flowers and the scallops. The chef was very creative with the presentation and taste using quality ingredients.

Had dinner here tonight.....and wow what a great experience!! OK , we all know that this new area in Chadstone Shopping Centre is really good, but this restaurant is amazing...we have been to Italy (where the head chef is from) and we have also eaten at the finest Italian restaurants in Melbourne (think Grossi, Tipo 00 , Gradi , Di Stasio , Cafe e Cuccina etc). But this place has some of the best focaccia and pasta we have EVER eaten....!!!! The lamb ragu and sausage pastas are to die for....Really good service , solid Italian wine list ,(the Nero Reds are some of the best we have ever had) as is the lemoncillo spritz. We complemented the staff and the head chef Carlos came out to meet us....how lovely is that. Going back next weekend, and this could be our new go to at Chadstone!!!
