Great little cafe! Came up to Gembrook on the Puffing Billy and originally decided to come here just because of the reviews and fortunately it was open because the rest of town is closed on a Tuesday except for the grocery store. The drinks were excellent (they make an amazing chai with actual black tea and crushed whole cardamom pods), the food was tasty, especially the baked goodies, and the service was very nice and friendly. And if you're coming up on the train and only going one way, the bus stop is right outside the cafe.

Not a good day: big breakfast bacon overcooked, bread tough, mushrooms burnt. Unable to add any options like hash brown, where is that not possible? Then the baked potato - cheese hard and dried out. Coffees (mugs) bland, weak. Very disappointing. Lovely staff. Disappointing. Maybe chef had a bad day with frying plate set too high??

it’s a wonderful day to get out the city, this cafe are amazing, they have outdoor and indoor seating, entrance are the little cute store, selling all different kind of cute stuff, dog biscuits etc. we had Smoke salmon, chicken sandwiches & Chips w chicken salt, the portion was generous, and so good, love the smoke salmon bagel. chicken sandwiches are delicious as well~ the outdoor seating are comfortable, with a lot of shade~ the trees are everywhere, also plenty of space for kids to running around~

Didin't get any photos because we just had a quick stop, but I've been coming here since it opened and it is brilliant. Just consistently GOOD! Today I had a coffee and the freshest fluffiest scones with homemade jam. So good!If you're in the hills, give it a go. The team are so friendly and the food and coffee will have you coming back.

We love Spencer’s Store and try to visit a couple of times a year. The staff are always lovely, the food and drinks always comes quickly and is delicious (I live for the chilli jam on the baked potatoes and the hot chocolate is the best I’ve had). They’re also super kid friendly with one of the best selections of kids meals anywhere (we’ve been bringing our now 3 year old here since he was 3 months!). Always a pleasure to visit, especially as the drive is nice too.

There were 6 of us we each had an empty plate the food did not only look absolutely delicious but it was extremely tasty aswell.. we had 6 different dishes.. and the waitress was polite and efficient..it was an ice cold day and inside the restaurant was very cozy.. prices were very reasonable..

I’ve been coming here for ages now, and only recently I’ve started bringing my partner. Each time we leave completely satisfied and amazed. The Asian noodle salad was absolutely delicious and the beetroot latte was a brilliant surprise.Can’t recommend this place enough to anyone travelling through Gembrook.

Good coffee. Great good. Friendly service which was fantastic.The menu often changes with the seasons and is always tasty. Love the all day breakfast and inspired lunch optionsThe coffee is great and helps to get over a long hard weekend. And they have smoothies and vegetarian options
