JLP Real Estate

We have been tenants with JLP Real Estate for the last 5 years and have to say that we have never been with a real estate as good as JLP. We love the honest, down to earth, can do attitude of the staff and have had exceptional service at all times. Lyall is an absolute fair dinkum good bloke who goes above and beyond to help when he can. We have been really happy with our tenancy through JLP that the thought of moving and going through another real estate is just something that isn't the least bit appealing.

For the last twelve years i have, until recently been renting a house through JLP real estate and have had to move due to the owner of the property needing to sell. in the time i have rented with these guys i have been looked after by Lyall Brooks the principal on matters as needed. i have dealt with 4 property managers in the time we were in the property and have had mixed feelings about some of their reactions to requests as there were difficulties with the owner, all that changed with the arrival of Kassandra as the property manager who has been a delight to work with and discuss any issues i have had, to the point of assisting me through the process of moving when we had to and explaining and guiding me to make it as stress free as possible, even with us needing to rent again with another agent as jlp didn't have what we needed at the time, who does that when there is no benefit to them at all!!!! Will absolutely be going straight back to Kassandra when i need the next property with out any second thought, highly recommend her as a straight shooting, down to earth property manager who is genuinely motivated and interested in her tenants needs and being comfortable in a property rented!

I have previously rented from Kassandra duvall from JLP Real Estate, i have nothing but good things to say about the experience and Kassandra really helped me out renting to me when i had been turned down by other agents for seemingly no reason. I even had to break my lease 2 weeks early when i left and had no issues at all going through that.When i am looking to move back to the bayside i will certainly be contacting Kassandra again.

Kassandra Duvall is an exceptionally good property manager. She is very efficient and gets things done promptly. She does not beat around the bush and gets straight on to helping where there is a need. Whenever I've required help with my rental Kassandra has been nothing but professional, helpful and courteous.

Avoid JLP. We have been renting from this company for over 2 years and their staff is rude, unprofessional, and just obnoxious to be honest (especially Kassandra Duvall and the owner Lyall Brooks). The first 2 years of our lease we have never had 1 inspection, so imagine you are the owner of the property. A simple maintenance request took them over 6 months to get fixed. When our 2nd year lease was about to expire we were happy to renew under the same terms, which was a 4 weeks’ notice period, since we were looking to buy. They said there was no such clause in our lease, but it turned out they lost our lease (since they never returned the signed lease). Since they didn’t have a lease it meant we were in a periodic agreement and as such the house had not been insured for damage or fire during the past 12 months (a periodic lease requires an additional insurance by the owner). As soon as they found this out they immediately issued a notice to vacate the property, after which they wanted to renew the lease on their terms ignoring what was previously agreed and discussed with the owner. Needless to say we didn’t renew our lease.The entire process to move out was difficult. Upon returning the keys Kassandra immediately began to complain about the property and how it should be cleaned properly, without even having inspected the property. They never provided us an exit condition report after the inspection, even though we did, nor did they respond to the RTA’s request to release the bond. JLP just let us wait the maximum amount of time before the RTA automatically released the bond.In short, tenants expect to be treated like garbage and property owners beware that your property is not looked after at all.

Rudest agents I've ever met. I was appalled by the way the staff member that called me at work spoke to me. Questioning why I'm looking to rent and why I have applied for other houses like it's a bad thing! I am house hunting! Questioning if I could even afford the rent when I most certainly can! I was that disgusted I didn't even end up applying! BE AWARE signing into any rental agreement with this agent. I doubt they will do anything helpful for you. Home owners be aware as I think most potential tenants will look else where once disrespected by JLP staff members. Disgusted. I can see others think the same!

My family & I were/are extremely satisfied with the friendly , easy going , yet very professional demeanour of all the staff from JLP . They went above & beyond the norm to help us in our efforts to find a suitable rental property that suited our needs & requirements ... We recently had an issue with our hot water system , we called Kassandra about it & the next day our brand new hot water system was installed enabling my family and I to continue having hot water ... In our opinion the staff at JLP Real Estate are by far the best in the bayside area , which makes dealing with them on any issue a absolute joy & pleasure . ALL real estate businesses could learn more than a few lessons in all aspects of running their business from Lyall and his staff ....

Kev - you are a Star!After many years of owning and transforming our property from rural acreage to a wonderful fauna and flora sanctuary and retreat from the everyday, for us selling our property and finding the right real estate agent was not an easy choice. After a few false starts, we were approached by Kevin Stewart from JLP Real Estate who from the start was up front and genuine.I was a little concerned at first as we were at Logan Village and the realty is based in Wynnum but this opinion changed very quickly when I realised just how dedicated and “dog with a bone” Kev was. He was not only dedicated to selling our property and keeping us informed through the whole process, he was reliable and went over and above on more than one occasion - Kev is 24/7.Kev went out of his way at every open house to ensure things were ready and although attentive and determined, did not come across as too pushy. If there was something Kev didn’t know he found out and got back to us, if he received an offer he got onto us, if he hadn’t received responses from potential buyers he followed them up.Kevin Stewart made the whole selling process for us a less stressful and much better overall experience. I have no hesitation in recommending Kev to potential sellers or buyers and know you will not be disappointed if you want genuine, down to earth, passionate and reliable service. We cannot speak highly enough of the professional and courteous way we are cared for and treated by JLP Real Estate! Any concerns or repairs have been dealt with little or no delay and in a positive and respectful manner! The staff are welcoming and will go above and beyond for both tenants and owners providing a happy medium for both! Thanks!
