Thuringowa RSL Club

Nice little modern bar/bistro with betting facilities. Play area outside for kids. Food is ok, there's nothing that is great - it's pub food. I've not had a good steak here (cooks need some schooling for sure) and recently the ribs ordered came out cold (both of ours).But I can't fault the service staff - all of them are brilliant. Just discovered they do a trivia night, looks like fun.

Came here for a baby gender reveal for my partner's cousin. Very modern and clean food was excellent had the half rack of smoked ribs my partner had roast veggies cousin chicken parmy all very happy.Staff again showing that famous NQ friendliness

Friendly staff but the food is absolute garbage and overpriced.They really do need to get some good chefs in and quality food and it would be a fantastic place to go

I come to the thuringowa rsl regularly, however I try not to eat their as the chef is terrible. Tonight I thought I would try the special of bitter chicken fill with salad and sweet potato fries, as I don't like sweet potato fries I asked to swap them out with normal chips. The waitress turned to ask the chef and before she could get 3 words out he said no and turned his back and refused to listen to the reason. I was not happy with this response and called the chef an arseholehe ignored me. I got my food finally, I think he went very slow deliberately and switched my fries for a friends chips. They wrote probably the worst cooked chips in history. They were dark and horrid like when the oil hasn't been changed for a week. Needless to say the chips went back. The salad was OK and the filo acceptable. I think I will stop eating there again until they change the chef again. To make matters worse all the prices have just gone up, so you will be paying more for mediocre food, I recommend you eat elsewhere and come for the drinks and pokies and the rest of the staff who are exceptional.

Recently discovered this club. It is a good 20 minute drive from home but we made the effort to check the place out. The building and decor are modern and attractive. We were welcomed warmly at the door and shown how to swipe in to enter the prize draws. We got a drink, played Keno and the pokies for quite some time. There is a good selection of machines to try. Not as many as in Townsville as it is a smaller club. We ordered dinner from the menu. The choice was typical for a club. My Salmon steak was well prepared though the rice was a bit dry. My husband had chowder which contained chilli flakes. He doesn't eat chilli, it wasn't mentioned in the menu, so he was disappointed. When we told the waitress who cleared the table, she didn't seem to grasp the problem. Despite this, it was a pleasant evening in pleasant surroundings.
