Initially everything went ok but sadly as one gets every now and then i received an invoice substantially higher than the verbal quote. When i disputed it, i was simply told that the verbal quote was incorrect. Quite helpful AFTER the work had been completed. Then I was threatened with Debt Collectors and an illegal 20% hike in the disputed amount if i didn't pay.I'd stay well clear. Wish i had of chosen one of the multitude of others available on Google.Just saw their response and it made me laugh. They didn't do the job at all. It was still broken when they left. I asked them to leave when it was obvious they were scamming me. These are obvious scammers and if you try them i wish you luck. Seriously i'd stay away as its just not worth the risk if you dont have money to burn.Check out the other reviews here and you'll see a pattern..... ;)I suspect the few good reviews are fake. And you can see from their responses they begin in argument mode rather than asking questions and trying to resolve issues. This attitude exists when scammers get angry that customers frequently question their poor performance.

I do not recommend. I was unhappy with the service provided.On 7 November 2022, Mick attended to inspect our front retic. We have a small patch of lawn at the front.My partner said we were concerned about costs as we have a baby and only one of us working full time. She said we would not want to spend $1,000 on retic repairs. Mick said it would be ‘nowhere near $1,000’ and he expected to replace one solenoid and it would be $350. Shortly after, he came back to the door and said it’d be two solenoids and $600. We approved it and he proceeded. After completion, he said to turn it on after one full day to allow the glue to set. At this time, we were happy.After waiting almost two days, we turned the retic on. Water was gushing out of the the last existing solenoid, at the point that the pipe joins the solenoid (ie not through the solenoid mechanism itself). The new section of PVC pipe had not been connected in any way to the existing solenoid. It appeared to be an oversight.I messaged on 9 November asking him to come back. He texted on 17 November to say he was on his way.Neither of us were home. We didn’t hear from him while he was there or afterward.He then sent us an invoice for $799. Instead of connecting the pipe, he had replaced a further solenoid. (Comparable solenoids are on the Bunnings website for $40).I contacted him as soon as we received the invoice and said the price was above what he quoted. He said “I did not quote. I have never quoted repairs”. He also said “I kept your partner informed with the cost all the time”.I said we were prepared to compromise at $700 to resolve it. He refused. I paid the $700 to stop his emails which I considered to be rude. I have since received six emails and a threat to commence proceedings for the amount of $99.I have now paid the $99 to avoid this negative experience continuing.

Very happy with prompt and efficient service. This was until I received the invoice. Charged for two technicians for an hour each. This was unaware for me as one was a young lad that mainly just stood around for most of the hour work. Job was to locate and replace valve two. I was also not inform two people will be coming out to do this job

Tried to rip me off so had to go to Consumer Protection!! I was quoted $230 (including call out fee but not service work) and the invoice came back at $570. I had been charged double the labour amount (5 hours for 2.5 hours work). At no stage was it mentioned to me that the $88 per hour for labour was per workman. Nor does it mention this anywhere on his website. If I had known it was actually going to cost me $176 per hour I obviously would've reconsidered. It is law that consumers must be made aware of the exact charges and any additional costs. I have paid $350, the amount that I think is fair and reasonable and have lodged an official complaint with Consumer Protection. Seeing the other negative reviews on here, clearly this isn't a one off. Rather than taking customer feedback on board, he is very defensive and attacks customers with rude and blunt messages. Multiple threats of debt collection and court made. Stay away.

Similar experience to the other review on here, agreed on an install price then when the invoice came through it was more than agreed. When I questioned them they just said the other part didn't fit, well I wasn't contacted prior to the work being done so I received advice from Consumer Protection. They said no work can be done without prior notice so only pay the agreed price. TLC were not happy with me but that's fine. Definitely would not recommend!

Mick installed a grey water system for us. We sought quotes from several companies. Mick was by far the most competitive and professional. He put in a huge amount of effort to get it installed in a tough-to-reach location in our yard. It was installed in two days as he said and for the price quoted. He also provided follow-up service to make sure the system was working correctly.

I have used Mick on numerous occasions at different properties and have never had an issue, he's very easy to deal with and always completes the jobs efficiently.
