About 4 K one way and unfortunately it is an in out track. Although if you could somehow cross the tributary at the end it would be a loop... but unfortunately you can't. All of this area is not controlled for crocs and we saw one the last time. Track has a bit of sand. Lovely views of the Roper and if you keep your eyes peeled you will see bowers...as in bower bird mating nests. Very cool.

We did this hike during the day and it was quite exposed so make sure you are sun smart. You will walk through a Sandy path so make sure you have proper footwear. Long walk to waterfall. Hard to find the waterfall through the trees. Some parts very rough across rocks.

A 4.5 Kilometre walk, each way, over limestone and powdery sand will get you to the falls. Take water as there isn't any on the track.

Was an interesting if long 8km return walk along the Roper River to the falls. Saw a couple of fresh water crocs as well.

Great walk to the falls and very easy going.Many places along the way for great river views.Unfortunately it's very difficult to get a good photo of the falls themselves

After trekking 4 kilometres along a sometimes difficult track alot of it loose sand you come to what could only be described as small rapids. And overgrown at that i don't know how old the publicity photo is but its not recent. Then to find a car parked at the picnic area just topped off an afternoon of sheer disappointment. Don't waste your time.

Beautiful hiking trails which are well marked with triangles and plenty of direction. I would give yourself plenty of time to make this hike though as there are many photographic moments along the way (we easily spent the majority of our day here) and you'll probably make lots of stops to observe the birds, the cotton bushes, flowers, gorgeous falls cascading. Make sure to bring lots of water, sunscreen and snacks as you will get hungry on your hike!
