City Motors Port Lincoln

My wife and I recently bought a car from Andy at City Motors. It was the best experience we have ever had while purchasing a new car. He was very helpful and informative with none of the pushy sales tactics. To top it off, Mark the manager came and introduced himself and thanked us for the purchase. What a good bloke! 5 stars is not enough!

Really poor experience all round. Would never use again.Found a Y62 advertised. High Km's but full service history. Was unable to get to dealer in person so all enquiries conducted over the phone and net. Advised car was in good condition with FSH so decided to purchased.Because of the distance, they were happy to transport the car to Adelaide for us to collect from a caravan dealer that they had links to.Wife went up with the kids to collect. The people at the caravan dealer made my wife feel like we were really putting them out by doing the pick up with them and weren't helpful at all. Prior to collection, dealer contacted us to say he had discovered the steering wheel was worn so he would buy us a cover for it. Fair enough but this wasn't disclosed prior to sale.When car was picked up, there was a fuel light on, 2 seat belts didn't work, parking sensors didn't work, car hadn't been cleaned and an engine warning light on. We were advised the light had only come on during transit to Adelaide but we could take to out local Nissan dealer for them to look at.Took it to local dealer who advised straight away that someone had been chasing this fault for a while judging by which parts were obviously new within the exhaust system. This was later evident in City Motors paperwork that I received later on. Car needed new cat converters as it turned out.Also when car got home to me, I noticed there was no service or hand book. Andy at City Motors advised me the delivery driver might have picked up by mistake so he would check. This driver apparently went to Perth and had to isolate so it took them a month to get me an answer. That answer was that he thinks he had 'binned' it.I asked if they could get copies of history from anywhere. For the next few months Andy kept claiming he was working on it and thought he was getting somewhere. In the end, I got nothing.Lastly, they had failed to disclose some damage on roof which had resulted in rust forming.In the end, I had enough and they agreed to buy it back off me. Including my on the road costs, I lost $11000 in 9 months. I sought legal advise but in the end, I just wanted done with it and took the loss.Left feeling really angry by this whole experience would never even consider another car from them.

Our Clutch went , on our Holden Colarado , being from Victoria , we just decided to go to the Holden Dealer . Erwin , looked at our car and sent photos and Quotes , and Mark sourced the part really quick ( considering Covid was holding things up ) They also organised a car for us , to save us hiring one at a really cheap price - All fixed and driving again by 3 days ! Pretty good considering they had to get the part from Adelaide- I like the honesty of these boys and the price was reasonable too !They are not just Holden , they are all makes and models ! Thank YouAll interstate people , please consider here first !Transparency all the way !!

We can't thank Andy and Gail enough for the assistance they provided us when buying our used car. There was no pushy sales pressure and they where as honest as they come. This car purchase was the best we have ever had!! Thanks guys

Our business bought a brand new Dmax recently from Andy, we were treated with respect and found Andy very approachable and genuine.It was as simple as a few phone calls and some easy paperwork, collected it shortly after and was very happy… thanks mate

Terrible service. Awful customer service. If I could give a 0 star I would. Purchased a y62 that was delivered to us with no service history despite having claimed there was one. 9 months of tirelessly chasing it up and broken promises they eventually resolved it by purchasing the car back at a loss of $11,000 to us. That was the option or keeping a car with no service history. Be very cautious of this company. Very unhappy customer.

What a great buying experience. We had been dealing with Andy Wilsdon online after seeing a stinger gt. Flew in from Adelaide. Andy picked us up from the airport after hours and dropped us to the hotel. Deal was done next morning! Delivery this week! Car salesmen can learn a lot from Andy's customer service. If we could give 6 stars..we would. Above and beyond. Highly recommend Andy. Thanks!

An excellent sale and service experience.From Adelaide I purchased a vehicle sight unseen from City Motors PL. They were very friendly and gave an honest and detailed description over the phone. Matt and the team were very professional and made the remote sales process easy and even arranged delivery to Adelaide. When I called back later with some minor issues, their after sales service made sure everything was taken care of promptly and professionally. Overall it was an exceptional and refreshing 2nd hand vehicle purchase experience.
