Mittagong Hotel

This was the 2nd time we have come in for dinner. The food is excellent!! We all had various cuts of steak and they were all cooked to perfection and Mauger's Meats are delicious.Service was great, lots of smiles from the girls behind the bar.The bathrooms are fabulous but there are still no hand towels in the bathrooms. I had to dry my hands with loo paper... again :(The dining room has a great atmosphere but too noisy, you have probably thought about installing noise reduction panels on the ceiling. they work really well.All in all, this is our new local and we will continue to enjoy coming for a meal whenever we don't feel like cooking.

Friendly efficient staff. Food was yummy, had the homemade pasta with prawns entree size. Prices not too bad, same as the rest of the highlands. Would imagine it would be noisy on a busy night. But nice at lunchtime, courtyard out the back was sheltered from the wind.

The Suite accommodation was just beautiful. Huge room and very cosy, it was just gorgeous. The food was delish, staff very welcoming and the front bar with the fire place was lovely. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Thanks guys!

Revamp of pub is simply amazing. Classic old pub styling with a touch of class. Rooms are huge and beautiful and the food is simply amazing. The new owners have done an incredible job

Food and service was amazing. Bar staff were efficient and friendly. Food was delightful. I had the rolled lamb shoulder, melt in the mouth and the flavours were complimentary. Next time I will definitely be having the pork. Can't wait until next time.

Only had the one night as we travelled and stopped at Mittagong for the night. Have to say, this is one of the nicest pubs we’ve been to for a long time. Apparently recently renovated, the place has a lovely ambience and vibe. The staff were friendly, attentive and knew their stuff. Food was top notch and very well priced for the quality. I’m only sorry we won’t be back for another crack tomorrow night. Highly recommended.

First visit since the new management. The new look is great, both inside and outside. We were among the first customers and were impressed. Still a good spot for dog lovers. The smokers spot is now beside the car park at the back in Albert Lane. We didn't have lunch, so although I can report that the Mexican is gone, I can't report on the quality of the food. But it is still lovely to sit out the back, under the tree, and have wine in good company.Visited again today and had the rotolo. It was so delicious. A bit like having a savoury dessert for lunch, accompanied by garlic flatbread and a really fabulous Chardonnay. About $35 all up. We ate outside in the garden area under the tree in the winter sunshine. Highly recommended.

Typical pub scene, friendly and warm. Meals were large and genuinely delicious. Our table had a range of meals and there were no complaints. I had the Hand Cut Pappardelle with Ocean Caught Prawns - massive meal, full of prawns (where often you'll be lucky to get 6 prawns in dishes at other establishments) which was fresh and delicious. We will be returning and recommend the bistro for meals 100%.

Absolutely amazing. Food and service are first class. Friendly staff who know their product. Confident kitchen who create gorgeous food. I stayed the night in a beautiful suite. This is the best pub experience I have ever had. When most of the clientele are families you know that the owners care about the town. I am bias as my brother is the manager, but, he has made me proud.
