The food and ambience is great. However, customer service left much to be desired. I asked for a takeaway cup with my drink when it was bought to the table and the owner (I think) scoffed like what I was asking for was so unreasonable. If you go here, go for the food and don't expect too much from a customer service perspective. If you're the type to get triggered with poor customer service, then I'd suggest to go elsewhere.

Always more atmospheric than the average Cafe, thanks to its impressive heritage.We only had a pot of tea each and a shared lemon tart slice, but everything was perfect sitting on the back verandah overlooking an active tennis court.Front verandah also feels quite private and surrounded by greenery.

Disappointing and pricey. I arrived at 1.30 planning on a light lunch.2 items on the menu had finished and as I was studying the menu for alternatives, I was hurried along to order before 2pm.Burnt coffee and French toast piled with green apple slices arrived with tiny cubes of rhubarb.The place was quiet and when I requested for water I was waved to a corner for self service.Which was fine.When I left , the lady at the counter didn’t bother looking up.. ‘ no have a good day or thank you’ which is always a good touch at good cafes. I wasted $26/-.

We wanted to have the “high tea” set at Cove for a child’s birthday but couldn’t line up everyone to get there during opening hours. Luckily Mrko and team happily obliged by packing the delicious treats into boxes with tea bags, jam and cream - even lent us the cake stands. The food was prepared with great care so that it was as close being prepared to order as possible. As it was a couple of hours later when we got to eating, we gently reheated the arancini and scones in the oven. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I especially like the slight twists on traditional cakes in the sweet section. Great food, great service.

Good food, good atmosphere, good coffee, convenient local cafe. Regular customer.Unfortunately experienced rudeness by the owner/manager today on 3 separate occasions throughout our meal. After reading a number of reviews here, it seems like this is a common trend. I felt conflicted to share this but after my mother's day brunch (and large part of my day) impacted by my experience I felt it was important to highlight to other future customers.Not sure I can go back here on principle. Which is a shame.

Great place for brunch with a cozy and bright atmosphere. Outside seating area on the verandah is beautiful overlooking the garden. Coffee was great, juices were fresh and yummy. Food is a bit pricey but well made and worth it. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Had the most amazing High Tea event here on their picturesque balcony overlooking the gardens.My MOH organised it, and couldn’t have picked a better spot!Gorgeous setting and amazing food!Best scones!The staff were second to none.Champers and great espresso coffee to top it off!Lots of compliments from all who attended.Highly recommend this place for any event. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
