Amazing fish and chips - on their busiest day of the year 'Good Friday' we ordered a large quantity to feed 5 families and we were very happy with the quality, quantity and punctuality. On top of this we were greeted with a friendly face too! This was my second time here and I highly recommend this is the place for original fish and chips in Geelong. Delicious homemade potato cakes too! FIVE STARS!

Bought only chips last night 4hours later my daughter and I were both ill. I called them today and was told that he has never had this happen that they use the best oil and the chips only sit out for 15mins he couldn't get off the phone quick enough although he did apologise. Inspections need to be carried out more often in my opinion feeling very ordinary not keen on buying there again

The best Fish n chips I have had in a long time. The flake is fresh, chips are nice and the potatoe cakes are massive and homemade,So do yourself a favour and head down to Shannon Ave for the best fish n chips in Geelong.

I’ve been to many fish n chip shops over my lifetime and would have to say George’s is in the top 2, the fish was huge and the potatoe cakes were nice and thick (actually had potatoe in them), very friendly staff. Would recommend x100

The Greek salad was surprisingly fresh and delicious. The scallops were not good. They were extremely bready, so the batter was thick and mushy. I could hardly taste the scallop. Otherwise, the corn jack was nice and the blue granadier seemed okay. It is odd to think that the salad was the highlight of dinner, coming from a fish n chip shop, but there you go. [Note: the owner contacted me and offered to replace the scallops, so I have raised the rating]>

We were recommended to try George's fish & chips, and are so glad that we did. Really enjoyed our meal & will definitely return. Flake in breadcrumbs superb.Bright, clean shop and cheerful friendly service.Thank you.
