Teralba Lakeside Caravan Park

Update 07/01/23: the following review was written 6 years ago. If there's been a change of management or of standards, things might be different now. I haven't been there since so I don't know, but the following was my experience back then:One star was given because 0 wasn't an option.When we turned up I took the kids to visit the toilet block - wow!! It was like visiting a very badly maintained public toilet in a run down town.The metal toilet roll holders were all banged up and the cleaners couldn't be bothered filling them so the toilet rolls (where present) were perched upon the toilets, floor or sanitary bins.There was scrunched up toilet paper strewn all over the floor everywhere.The basins were filthy and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. The hairs that were present on one of the basins before the cleaning sign appeared in the morning were still there after the cleaning sign was taken away. It remained the same until we left the day after that and I doubt it'll be cleaned for some time. The only visible difference after cleaning was that the toilet paper had been removed from the floor area and the bins emptied.Some of the windows were missing from the building's facade, so cold wind rushed in while showering.If any showers or toilets needed extra serious maintenance, they just locked the doors on those (one toilet and one shower while we were there, in the female toilets alone), or in the case of the male toilets they just sectioned it all off with safety tape.The showers all looked very grotty with stained and missing floor tiles. The shower heads were good for allowing a good stream of water, but the hot water fluctuated massively, especially when other people were showering at the same time. Which was not ideal when you're trying to shower kids as well.In the morning they turned the electricity off so you couldn't turn the lights on or use a hair dryer/straightener.The sign on the back of the door directed people to visit the office and see the manager if you had a 'compalint' to make about the cleanliness of the facilities. Which would be fine if the manager wasn't, in my opinion, such a grumpy person.I focused on the toilet block for this review because we only had a powered site. I'd hate to see the caravans and cabins if they can't even clean the sinks in the toilets properly. Yuck - not impressed!!

Was a quiet little park we had unpowered tent site but was still pleasant facilities were old but clean ,would return maybe when it's warmer so we could make use of the inviting pool there.

Stayed at the park for 3 nights, with my elderly mother in a cabin.Leigh the park manager was awesome and was there to help with anything that I needed.Cabin clean and tidy. Sheets and towels perfect.Very quiet park close to everything.Will be staying again. Thanks Leigh

Stayed for two nights in the deluxe cabin, great place for a pit stop, quiet and comfy without being too cushy, manager gruff but fair. Highly recommend, would visit again!

A bit tired but managent polite and accommodating. Apart from the massive domestic from the people staying in the cabin opposite our caravan which exposed our 3 children to the foulest language they have probably heard in their short lives we could not fault the stay. Toilets and showers nice and clean.

What a dump. Toilets were not cleaned the whole week we were there. The office is feral inside and out. Stinks of cigarettes. The manager only talked through gritted teeth. She has been there too long.

My partner and I and a small dog recently spent 4 nights at Teralba Lakeside Caravan park . We are renovating my daughters new house and needed somewhere at short notice to stay . The cabins are clean and tidy , have plenty of hot water and were equipped with everything we needed. They were also cosy warm with the air-conditioning. The gardens and grounds are lovely and the manager Leigh was most helpful. We will definitely be staying again when we come back for stage 2 of the renovations.

Stayed for 2 nights. Very clean amenities with an awesome host. Nothing was a bother for her. Across the road from Lake Macquarie. Highly recommend.
