Coolangatta Estate

Great experience doing a wine tasting at Coolangatta Estate. We had a large group of 10 people, booking online was easy and at the tasting were looked after very well by Lowan with some lovely wines. Would recommend!

Very lovely stay. Rooms were an amazing state and we also did wine tasting which was spectacular. I recommend this place for all families and friends.

Marie was amazing! She had such a great sense of humour and was very knowledgeable explaining the wines to us. She asked us what we liked and made sure our tastings suited our tastes. We had a lovely cheese board after our tastings with our fav glass of wine and took in the views. If you're visiting, I'd highly recommend stopping here. If we were to come back, I'd want to stay here to find out more of the 'ghostly' history of the place. And the sparkling Rose - try it even of its not your thing as we found it's one of the best.

I will start this review by saying the staff were lovely and the location beautiful, me and my partner had a fun time here. But now that’s out of the way here are some facts: it’s got big MOTEL energy, every piece of paper is laminated and the steaks we order felt like they’d been finished off in the microwave. You get what you pay for.

Visited there with a group of mates for a wine tasting by Mitchell. was a fantastic experience. Mitchell was amazing, he was so welcoming to our dynamic group and was happy to share his amazing product knowledge with us. Will definitley return because of such a wonderful experience. thanks Mitchell !!

We booked a family birthday here to celebrate my mothers 60th birthday. In the past I had comehere and been taken away with the wine, service and quality of food. Every year I buy my parents a gift cardto stay and dine herebecause of our previous experiences. This timehowever I intended on making a memorial experience with my family who had traveled from acrossthe state to find that the food was no better than something produced in a average joes kitchen. No quality, no service and the place was empty! I can see why!Will not be returning her again, very sad to see asouth coast treasure becoming something so disappointing. RIP, will always remember how special you once were!

I have stayed many times at Coolangatta Estate. It's a magnificent slice if history.The food and wine is second to none. A wonderful place to celebrate or just spend a relaxing day with friends in the garden enjoying the great wine and vibe. Can't pick a favourite wine cause they are all great but my top 3 are the bubbles, rose frizzante and the twelve convicts.

Stayed one night and booked the wine and walk package and had a wonderful time. Bruno was a phenomenal guide, he gave us the fascinating background to the estate and its importance in NSW/Australia. Then we got to try wines with a grazing board all was delicious and indulgent. Bruno also allowed us to try other wines. I can't stress how enough how great the service was. Brilliant!!!

We went here with my partner. We were very excited as the location looks beautiful. When we checked in the lady at the desk was pleasant. We went to our room which was the Stable room 12. Immediately we noticed that there was no privacy curtain on the door. People walking past can see right in the apartment/room. We walked in to the apartment/room and we were hit by a strong musty mouldy smell. The carpet was dirty and sticky. (I did not walk on it barefoot) There was dust on the table tops and bedside tables. The bathroom window had no fly screen and one towel was dirty with yellow stains. My partner went to request a new towel and he was told that its because wild life" comes in through the bathroom window that doesn't have a flyscreen and dirty the apartment/room.We tried to find other estates around to go to however everything was booked out so we had to spend the night there. We opened all the windows (only two) and had the AC on blast to try vent the room. We wanted some tea after dinner and we went to open the cupboard to get the cups and kettle and we were hit by a strong mouldy smell coming from inside the cupboard. It was so bad. I almost throw up. We didn't end up making the tea as it was just too nasty.In the morning we went to tell the receptionist about the state of the room and she didn't even care.This place was really disappointing. Its a real pity because the estate is beautiful."

We have stayed here the last 4 years and had lovely service and the staff were friendly. But this time I was very disappointed and disgusted with the reception lady as when we booked in she abruptly told us that Clair didn’t work there anymore and we won’t get the room 27 at that price again. Hence we book and pay 12 months in advance. There is no reason to speak and treat ongoing customers this way. Hence will not book for next year. Elaine and Karen … disappointed maybe the receptionist needs more training in customer service as Clair was lovely….
