TradCo Hardware

One of their door handles broke on the base plate first on one side and then on the other. It was not even on a door that was used regularly. And it was not exposed to any elements.It was obviously a faulty product and too brittle.I had to spend money having the handle reattached and then spend more money when the other side broke.I approached Tradco about it because it was bought before I bought the house but it is confirmed by the retailer as one of their products. I bought an exact replacement but I'm concerned that it will happen again so I approached Tradco if they would replace it on the basis of faulty product. Door handles should not break like thatTradco won't rectify.They won't stand by their own product. In fact even got the material wrong for their own handle suggesting to me it was brass. Not sure if trying to lie or just (surprisingly) mistaken.I would have expected better.Be careful

These guys are our go-to for restoration style hardware. Product quality is fantastic for the price point and in my view has improved steadily over the years.Their followup service is second to none and the breadth of their range and finishes makes it so easy to get pretty much everything you need for your project in matching finishes. Highly recommended!

Don`t buy from this company, I choose Tradco for all the door and window hardwares, and once I come back to buy some extra hinges, they told me they are discounted with this model, and refuse to help me to even get 18 extra pieces. As more than half of my house has been installed with it, couldn`t find anything with the same design to replace anymore, and now I need to spend money to hire people to reinstall the new ones if i need to have the whole house in the same design. Worst company and service, getting too many troubles with giving business to them.

I really don't like writing negative reviews, but when a simple complaint turns into a jousting mach via emails, I feel I have no choice.TIP: DON'T USE PAINTERS TAPE. The finish just comes right off. I downloaded the pdf care instructions which neglected to say this. I was then made to look foolish when two reps from this company sent me a link to the website that states 'We don't reccomend the use of tape'. Well there you go. The pdf didn't mention it, but it did say 'see our website for more information'. I didn't think I needed any MORE INFORMATION after reading the CARE INSTUCTIONS. A small error on the website, a shoddy quality product, and appauling customer service.

House lot we purchased ie, Door Hardware as in Screws/Door Handles/Hinges seemed good.One issue we have is that the hinge screws heads are too soft.The screw head is too soft with most of the screw heads burring.We ended up not using the ones that came with the product.Finishes is another issue where the Antique effect wears off in approx 2 Months, exposing the brass on which it was painted.Sorry Tradco, love the product but quality could be better.Will never buy again.

Don't buy tradco. All their products are faulty and break after a year or two. I have five doors with tradco locks on them and three are already brocken. I got locked out of my house. They know they have faulty product and have known for ten years or so but choose not to fix the problems. If I could give zero stars I would. Stay away

I will never buy tradco products again. Less than three years they’re failing and cannot open doors with animals stuck in rooms. Slept on couch all night. Never again, not worth it.
