Wouldn't recommend coming here after any rain, more of a dry season walk. Lives up to its name. Latter half of the track is prone to some levels of flooding throughout the track and surrounding areas as it runs adjacent to the creek, bring gum boots.

The walking track goes nowhere, just back down to the river. I advise taking the Ostini track instead - only 400m and it goes straight down to the river on the other side. And if you're hoping to see any historical mining artefacts forget it - there's no sign of any mining along the 2.6km track. I seriously think the walk is a total waste of time - much better to spend time walking along the water's edge at the waterfall.

Such a pretty spot and a lovely walk in the bush although it was clear the area had experienced some destruction from the flooding and heavy rains earlier in the year. The upper section of the walk was easy with a clear path, however the path next to the creek has been destroyed and quite a bit of rock hopping is required. It is still an easy enough walk for mobile people with some agility. There are basic toilets at the picnic area with some tables in the shade.Be sure to cross the road to the Cascade walking track and go all the way to the end.
