Pinewood Caravan Park

On our trip across South Australia we came luckily to this campsite on New Year's Eve. Honestly it was the best campsite on our trip.We were very welcomed by the brother of the owner. He represents his brother while he is on vacation. A very nice guy who really take good care of everybody.We felt like we were really welcome here and not just a number.The campsite is not too big, which we think is better for everyone. There is enough room for every camper. The bathrooms are very clean and there is radio. There is even an extra bathroom for children. What a great idea!

Had a family cabin for a night (for just me). There was cooking facilities to make dinner but the exhaust fan above the stove didn't work and was was filthy. The door needed 'help' to open and close it.The air conditioner was noisy, the road noise went all night with trucks. Decided to sleep on one of the single beds, away from the air-conditioning but it was so soft it was like sleeping in a hammock. No tea, coffee or soap provided.Room could do with a complete refurbish, furniture old and dilapidated.The park itself seems nice, large ablution block.

I come here on a regular basis as i work in the area. The cabins are well appointed and have everything you need, the park is spacious and very homely.The park owners are extremely accommodating and I would suggest anyone looking for accommodation in the region to stay here.5 Stars!

The place seems to be getting run down with lack of maintenance. I didn't have high expectations but the room's cleanliness wasn't the greatest. I've stayed in similar caravan parks, with similar rates that were very well maintained.

Very quite park, trees, gardens and grass kept very neat and tidy. Amenities kept spotless and cleaned every day. Owners very helpful and very quick to respond to complaints. Has reverse in sites for those staying for a length of time, as I am working in the area. There are 4 vans in the back area here for work. There is a drive through section with good grass. Water power and sullage are close to most sites, amenities are in the middle of the park and close to sites. I would have given 5 stars if there was a dump point in the park.Yes there is a rubbish heap as mentioned by Brenda Hamilton but it is behind a tin fence outside of the park area and out of sight of park guests.As for the dog over the back, it belongs to a farmer and nothing to do with the park.Maybe Brian Simpson dealt with the Caretaker that has since left as I have found Cameron and Rebecca (owners) and Al and Anne (maintenance staff)to be very friendly and helpful.Yes the park is beside the Henty Highway and there is a lot of truck traffic during the day, but it quietens down at night,

Having stayed here as a guest off and on the past 4 months or more I have no complaints. Disagree with Brian who was maintenance worker until he did a runner. There is noise from the highway but it’s not that bad. Loudest noise at night is my shoes on the gravel. All staff at Pinewood are very approachable and helpful. Toilet and showers are cleaned daily. Laundry area is kept clean also. Top stars for this park for familys or single persons.

I certainly didn't expect 5 star accomadation, especially for the price but is cleanliness too much to expect. As a female travelling alone l thought l would have been able to feel safe at least, but to my dismay the bedroom windows didn't even latch shut. Then there was the noise factor being located right next to where the semi's turn off to head to Mt Gambier. One star is a generous rating and l won't be re visiting.

Will never stay there again, rubbish only gets done once a week,park it's self is dirty,

Noisy neighbours, that always looking into what your doing. ( No privacy. ) floor in bathroom Needs A Really Good Scrubbing.Owner nice. Big rubbish dump pile looks awful. Needs removing. Dog over back barks all night. If you don't like hearing trucks from midnight till morning, dont go. Otherwise pleasant...
