Just had our wedding here! Venue is absolutely stunning, food and drink were amazing and all guests had an amazing time.Venue coordinator Amy Wood was disappointing as we originally booked the venue with the previous manager Luke.Amy was not friendly, abrupt and challenging to deal with. We noted a few things that staff did under her watch including security letting people in who were not wedding guests, a stolen bouquet and the bride and groom cupcakes taken.Love the venue and we had the most amazing night but considering what you pay you expect to be treated nicely by the venue coordinator.Such a shame this venue lost Luke.Regardless, we had an amazing night and love the venue but want to leave an honest review for future couples.

This place is suprisingly huge on the inside. You will be in a hall as you enter the restaurant with this great overarching screen projector. There's bar in the hall and also next door in their smaller bar aptly named little mess. The food is a kind of Thai fusion executed greatly. The lamb is soft and juicy. The pad Thai is fried nicely and leaning towards the sweeter side.Food - 8Service - 7Vibe - 10Price - $$$

What can I say about the Mess Hall? Venue, food, vibe of our dreams. The staff are next level amazing. We had our wedding reception here a few weeks ago & I am still dreaming about how incredible it was. Everything about the night was absolute perfection. We had rave reviews from our guests about the food. I know Luke is no longer the event manager (big, sad loss for BMH) but a huge shout out to him, as well. I cannot thank everyone involved in our reception enough. The memories we created with our friends & family the night of our wedding will remain with us, always.

We tried the Wednesday special, meal for two for $50. The Pad Thai was delicious and coleslaw was very fresh for a hot 28 degree day. The service was good and our server was very accommodating to our veggie and non alcoholic needs. The atmosphere was just right for a week night dinner. Surely going to be a regular here!

We had our wedding at The Hall in May 2023. We cannot describe how happy we were with everything that this venue had to offer. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and it very comfortably fit our 100 guests for a cocktail wedding with room to spare. The rooms at the front offer a quiet, scenic space away from the party and the main room itself was just gorgeous and warm. We got so many compliments from our guests about how unique but beautiful The Hall was. The food was also incredible (all veg friendly) and the drinks generous. We also had several guests who arrived early relax next door at Welcome to Brunswick for a sneaky pre-ceremony beverage. The staff as well working on the day were so friendly and accomodating and gave off great vibes. Troy our function manager was also great to work with, allowing us to be flexible with our set up and pack up as well as generally responding to all our enquires in the lead up to the event.Anyone looking to have their function here, we'd highly recommend you book in quickly before too many people realise how fabulous this gem of a venue is!

Luke is THE ultimate wedding fairy and must be protected at all costs!! These days it's so rare that an event turns out even better than imagined - but our wedding celebration is something we will cherish forever thanks to Luke and the Brunswick Mess Hall team. After chatting to so many venues, going with BMH is one of THE BEST decisions we made. Through the highs and lows of many lockdowns, and with this being cancelled once before, it was amazing how Luke and his team pulled out all the stops to ensure that everything stayed as true as possible to our ideal plans. They took care of EVERYTHING and really, really considered our needs. The evening flowed super smoothly, the guests loved the food, service was great and all we had to do was just rock up and enjoy ourselves. We couldn't be more grateful. Highly highly recommend this venue.

We love the Mess Hall! Best wedding ever. So happy to have chosen to celebrate our special night here - amazing food, good vibes, helpful staff, delicious drinks. Amy is awesome and we cannot recommend enough. 10/10 5 Stars !!!!

We had our Engagement party at The Hall, and it was a spectacular evening! All the staff were very accommodating and ensured everything ran smoothly on the day.The food was so delicious and am excited they are re-opening the restaurant!
